I hope everything goes smoothly for you on your surgery and post op. Maybe we'll see each other there tomorrow. I will arrive there at 2 pm, did you take too long to cross the boarder?

Sleeved or not sleeved:
I have had a gastric sleeve.
Biography:
I have struggled with my weight since my second knee surgery when I was 16. I have now had 6 knee surgeries and have a bulging disc in my lower back. I have tried diets, medication, and I even go to the gym 4-5 times a week. After talking to someone who had a gastric sleeve about 2 months ago, I decided to re-look into the sleeve and decided its for me. With my doctors ok (even for it being done in Mexico) and some family members uncertainty, I have decided to take the leap. I set surgery for the 29th. I decided I had plenty of time to think about this, and any delaying would just increase the stress and jitters. It didn't give me a chance to do the last supper month that I see so many people gaining a lot of weight with (although I did allow myself a big juicy hamburger that would normally make me gain 5 pounds just by looking at it). I'm still nervous, but I've been reading enough profiles and posts on here to calm some of my nerves.

Surgery Jan 30th. Foot on the gas and I won't look back!

by leesha8896 on 01-22-2013 at 12:25 AM
So I have been looking at the sleeve for about 6 or 8 months now. The hardest part for me was giving up my diet Sunkist. My relationship with my diet sunkist was comparable to any smoker. About a month ago I ran into a friend who had a sleeve (state side of course as she had insurance coverage, almost made me consider marrying a military man so I could have insurance to get this surgery done, though I don't think my fiance would like that very much). She had lost 40 pounds since the last time
