I havent been on this site in a long time. This past year I started a new job and moved about 5 hours away from where I was living. In the midst of all of that, I definitely started to develop bad eating habits again and have gained some weight back. Initially, I had gotten down to 125 lbs which I admit was actually too thin and I wasnt comfortable. Now I am about 145 and I am happy with that, as my original goal was 150. I think I am going to be visiting this site regularly again, as I need to

I had my surgery not quite a year ago. I am down 130 pounds and feel great physically, but mentally, not so much. I wish I could just eat like a "normal" person. I'm not going to lie, I miss food...a lot. I don't mean pigging out or eating ice cream all of the time. But I miss being able to sit down and eat a sandwich or a bowl of cereal. I know that I am healthier, and that I look good, but I just don't feel normal. I don't regret the surgery so much (some days I do), but it isn't as

When I first started this whole thing, I weighed 257 pounds, which was basically the biggest I had ever been in my life. I originally set a goal weight of 150 pounds, then changed it to 140 half way through....now 7 months out, I am hanging around 149-150 and I'm happy and comfortable. I think we get this idea in our head of what we want or how we should look, but its not always realistic...so just a heads up to those who arent at their "goal" yet...things can change, so dont get too upset

I'm trying to stay healthy in a fairly unhealthy household. I live with a roommate, and as much as I love it, sometimes the food/drink situation is hard. My roommate likes to cook a lot, which is awesome, but it's not always the best foods. I avoid carbs at all costs and never eat anything super high in fat. My roommate on the other hand....I know she doesn't understand my journey, and I don't expect her to, but sometimes she tries to push food on me, and it makes me uncomfortable. Same with alcohol.
