Well, I have also. I have increased my protein shakes. I also broke the 200 barrier. I just think I don't eat enough calories. Now I'm stuck at 197, lol. I guess I'll exercise... LOL. However, I just found out that I have breast cancer and probably have to do surgery next week (double, for safety sake), so that will limit some exercise for a bit. I suppose I can always walk.

Hi... I was looking at your profile and I'm amazed at how quickly you have lost your weight! I started just under your weight and had my surgery about 6 weeks after you. Once I got to the three month mark, I've been stalled for the last 6 weeks. Don't get me wrong, I haven't done everything exactly right in the last month or so....but I do think I'm eating too few calories daily. I don't exercise much...mostly walking.

So, I just wanted to know if you could give me some sage advice or please tell me exactly what/how you did it. You're definitely ahead of me. And did you go through hair loss? And around when were your stalls? I'd appreciate any and all help you could send my way. Thanks, Jennifer

Coming back!

by jennann5 on 03-19-2014 at 05:13 AM
I havent been on this site in a long time. This past year I started a new job and moved about 5 hours away from where I was living. In the midst of all of that, I definitely started to develop bad eating habits again and have gained some weight back. Initially, I had gotten down to 125 lbs which I admit was actually too thin and I wasnt comfortable. Now I am about 145 and I am happy with that, as my original goal was 150. I think I am going to be visiting this site regularly again, as I need to

Regret

by jennann5 on 08-29-2013 at 04:26 PM
I had my surgery not quite a year ago. I am down 130 pounds and feel great physically, but mentally, not so much. I wish I could just eat like a "normal" person. I'm not going to lie, I miss food...a lot. I don't mean pigging out or eating ice cream all of the time. But I miss being able to sit down and eat a sandwich or a bowl of cereal. I know that I am healthier, and that I look good, but I just don't feel normal. I don't regret the surgery so much (some days I do), but it isn't as

Weight Loss Goals and Other Things

by jennann5 on 05-03-2013 at 01:52 PM
When I first started this whole thing, I weighed 257 pounds, which was basically the biggest I had ever been in my life. I originally set a goal weight of 150 pounds, then changed it to 140 half way through....now 7 months out, I am hanging around 149-150 and I'm happy and comfortable. I think we get this idea in our head of what we want or how we should look, but its not always realistic...so just a heads up to those who arent at their "goal" yet...things can change, so dont get too upset

Trying to stay healthy

by jennann5 on 04-18-2013 at 07:15 PM
I'm trying to stay healthy in a fairly unhealthy household. I live with a roommate, and as much as I love it, sometimes the food/drink situation is hard. My roommate likes to cook a lot, which is awesome, but it's not always the best foods. I avoid carbs at all costs and never eat anything super high in fat. My roommate on the other hand....I know she doesn't understand my journey, and I don't expect her to, but sometimes she tries to push food on me, and it makes me uncomfortable. Same with alcohol.
