So I had my surgery I am 4 days post op I am not going to lie and say everything is great. It has been a very hard 4 days. I have managed to get two protein shakes down for a total of 36 grms of protein. I have only drank one full bottle of water. It does get easier day by day the first day I was extremly nauseated the nausea is do to the gas. I had gas x strips which helps big time! I would recommend a heating pad I wouldn't have survived without it. Take it with you to the hospital and keep it next to your bed. Stay true to your preop diet their were two girls who didn't and they were miserable, they had to get tubes up there nose. The more you get up and walk the less the pain from gas bothers you. Also because I was given morphine I didn't feel any pain but I slept on my left side well that was a huge mistake because now it hurts to breath.I take tylenol wait 35 minutes get up and walk and get as much oxygen in my lungs as possible before the pain comes back.I hope this helps let me know if u have any questions.

Ok awesome! Did you here anything yet about when we are suppose to start are post op diet? What exactly does it consist of? I hear if you don't start rite away they could deny you for surgery if you litter is too big.
