  1. Glad to hear you are doing alot better. Recovery is going OK..... I am still hungery, if I didnt have the scars I would think that they forgot to sleeve me....lol . Getting very tired of soup and protein shakes. looking forward to soft food. Before being sleeved I hated hotdogs, now that is all I am craving....lol Not that I was living in a fansty land but the recovery is a little harder then i thought..... But I still beleive it will get better and it is well worth it. Please keep in touch and if you have any hints or food tip, please feel free to pass them along.

Hey there! I am totally over the flu, thank you!! I can't believe how effective Tamiflu was - so lucky to have caught it early enough to be prescribed it and I am a believer. It brought me out of the flu quicker than ever before! How are you doing? I know you had a long wait that wasn't expected. How's the recovery been so far?

I hope your recovery is going well, please keep me posted

Hi there and welcome! Thanks so much! Are you excited? Dr Kelly was one of my final 3 surgeons - I bet you'll have a great experience and I've heard SO MUCH great about him!

I don't really have too many tips yet, other than to just keep your eye on the prize and realize that anything we have to go through now and immediately post-op will most certainly be worth it when we have a healthier and happier quality of life!

Good luck and keep me posted.

Welcome to the forum! I am in Fort McMurray and should you ever think of grabbing a coffee, I am game as long as I am in town.
You will love the surgery! Once all done and healed, you can basically have a normal life, just eating less than before. I am having no issues post op and had none immediately following.
I had my surgery in Edmonton though.
Let me know if you have any specific questions.
Support seems to be the key ... or so I think.
    Good Luck.

Numbers came back great but I chose to have my other breast removed which was on July 5th, 2012 and opted for reconstrustion which will be complete in March 2013. I have been 100 lbs over weight since I quite smoking 2000. I blamed smokeing for me putting on my wieght but I have come to grips that it was me putting the food in my month. I have tried all the diets over the years and I have made up my mind I am ready to take back my life and be healthy. I figure if Cancer has given me a 2nd chance , then Hell I am going to run with it and be healthy!!! My date is on Jan 21 2013 and I am couldnt be happier, I have full support of my husband/ best friend, which will be with me as he was with my breast cancer.
