Hi all. I actuall had my surgery on 2/17/13 and I feel wonderful (slight delay from my original date). Since this my first week, I am strictly doing liquids. I am cool with that and really my new tummy can't hold anymore. I am struggling to get in the required 60 g protein minimum and 64 oz of fluid. I don't want to get dyhrdrated so I am constantly reminding myself to drink, drink, drink. I'll worry more about getting the correct amount of protein next week. Pain is at a minmum and really all I get is an occassional gas stitch which I rub and pat away like we do new born babies when they need to be burped after a meal. My journey is only now beginning and I still think this the best decision I made for my life. I plan on being around to watch my children graduate college, start their careers and eventually have a family of their own. Hope you all join me on the sleeve side soon. The grass is much greener over here. Keep hitting me up and I promise to let you know about what progress I'm making. I'm feeling pretty darn optimistic about what lies ahead for me right now. Be good to yourselves. You deserve it!!
