Hi Mark, how are you going?
  4. Best wishes to you, Mark. I have not had surgery, I am still in the "can I make it happen for me?" stage. So, from someone who hasn't had the surgery take this with a grain of salt, but I bet the hardest part of your journey will be behind you when you awaken in post-op. The procedure will be done and each moment thereafter you will be healing and celebrating as you achieve your dream! Let us know soon how you are!

Good luck today Mark! I had mine on Monday. Remember to walk as much as possible to help with the gas pains. The only nausea/dry heaves I had were after every dose of pain meds. They finally changed pain meds after the 4th occurrence. Won't be long and you will be feeling better. Keep us updated.

Hey Mark - best of luck tomorrow! Remember to get up and walk ASAP to get rid of all of that gas they pump in you! I also answered yes to every question about nausea ahead of time and they gave me lots of preventive stuff, including the patch behind my ear, which I think really helped me avoid any problems after. I did have some itching from the morphine, but a little benadryl and that went away quickly. I woke up after surgery to hearing my 13 year old son saying, "can I pull the plug?" Hope your family is more supportive than my kid!

How are you doing Mark? Have you started your pre-op diet? Only 10 days to go, right? You can do this - the liquid phase before surgery was the worst part of all for me... after surgery, I wasn't hungry so it was easy to only do liquids, but the week before was harder. Hope you are still excited!

How are you doing? Have you started second-guessing yourself yet? Seemed like the closer I got to my surgery date, the more I questioned my decision. Hope you are doing well. Looking forward to getting stuck at home tomorrow...

Man, I didn't mean that as a inappropriate comment. I hope your wife doesn't think that I was well... after I posted I thought OMG! I just meant yah... it would be hard to post pictures of my stomach for the world to see. But I hope to have the nerve one day

I got to the point where I was walking four miles
