Just keep sipping and walking. I found Gas-X strips and Gaviscon will help with the gas. I was sleeved on the 19th of Nov, and I still get burpy after some meals, especially if I eat too fast or to big a bite, which it my biggest problem. I'm upping my water every day, but still no where near the min 64 oz. I also have trouble getting in all my protein each day, but I'm taking it a day at a time. Your body will let you know what's good and bad. You'll find it talking to you much more now, or maybe we're just more aware of it.

No problem, that's what we're all here for. I just got home from my support group at Kaiser and told them about this site as well. Well, lets see, post op I had my water, sugar free juices, crystal light if you don't care for water too much. As for meals for a couple weeks post op, sugar free jello, puddings, chicken broth and soups were my best friend..I got a membership to fitness 19 so I'm tryin to shred as much as I can.trust me, Make sure you get your water, protein and vitamins in throughout the day...any questions, feel free to ask anything....

Shoulder Pain

by Nanoosa on 01-29-2013 at 07:47 AM
So last Thursday I posted this:

A couple of nights ago I think I slept wrong and hurt my shoulder the pain was minimal at that time and I thought it would go away. Yesterday it got worse and today it's almost unbearable. I didn't think it had anything to do with the sleeve until I noticed today that the intensity increases severely when I drink. Right now I'm unable to drink at all because of the intense pain I feel when I do. My stomach feels fine and I don't have any back pain.

To my surprise I was calm as can be yesterday, the day of my surgery. I met with Dr Alverez before starting the prep procedures and his encouragement put me even more at ease. After blood tests, chest x-rays and the iv fluids I was given something to take the edge off. It actually took me over the edge as the last thing I remember was moving to the surgery bed that they were going to wheel me off in. I didn't remember leaving the room, seeing or talking to anyone else including my husband who said

Hope

by Nanoosa on 01-10-2013 at 06:20 AM
I had many second thoughts about posting. I didn't want to put any negative energy out there... but this is a forum for support when people need it and so here goes...

My flight to go for surgery is in less than 24 hours and I am so emotional. I didn't really expect this since I was so excited about this surgery and I so want a better life and I feel like this is my last chance. I had lost hope of ever loosing weight again, and the thought of this surgery has given me my hope back.
