Yes the first couple months while your tummy is healing can be hard. as your tummy heals it doese get better for me it took about 6 months for it to get used to food and settle down....but i lost ALOT of weight in the process! I was able to do best on bland mild soft things like cream of wheat, oatmill, yorgert, potatoes mashed and baked. Yes these things have carbs , but that did not effect my loss as i was eating such a small amount.(only 3-6 bites) Hang in there it does get better! Love Rainbow

Hi Mary! Sorry, I wrote a message a while back, but the kids were on top of me and I see it didn't make it. Sorry about the oozing wounds...mine oozed for a bit and it was upsetting, but I tried to baby it and it stopped in a couple days. Terry said that the best thing is not to cover them with gauze. The oozed when I had the gauze on, but when I took it off, that when it started to heal. Terry is a nurse, so he sees a lot of incisions and has the training... It was really hard to keep up with the toddlers at first, but they keep me busy and distracted, so there is an upside too. I'm in a good mood today because I am down 21.5 pounds! I am feeling pretty well, sometime I get tired and have to give myself some extra TLC and time to rest, but overall, I am a happy camper!

Hi Mary!! Hope you are feeling good and made it home ok! I am having that little oozing/redness issue with one of my sutures, I am just trying to keep it clean and hopefully it will heal. :-) Good luck settling back in!

They would pick you up from the airport and take you straight to Hotel Ticuan. From what I have seen posted, it is very nice.

if you flew in to San Diego how would you have gotten to the hotel in Mexico???

Thank you for your kind wishes, but my father passed away early morning, on the 6th and I had to cancel my surgery. Luckily, I made it to the hospital in time to say goodbye to my Dad.
