3 Weeks in & having heartburn.....

Hey everyone, hope all is well. So it's been a little over 3 weeks since I had my surgery and I've been getting alot of heartburn. Called my doctor's office & the nurse told me I'm not getting in enough protien....but here's the thing mostly everything I'm trying to eat like mashed potatoes...mashed beans or any puree foods give me heartburn. I have tryed to eat greek yogurt and cream of wheat and that seems to go down fine. My question is, has anyone else been through this and if so what has
