ascnbe, I was wondering, what time did they pick you up at San Diego and what time did you have your surgery the day early? I'm asking because I just agreed to be picked up the day before surgery at 4:30 p.m. Thanks, BethJane

Got mine done on 11/28, (a day early). It was not like a trip to disneyworld, but it was efficient and professional. I have no complaints. Just make sure you tell them if you have not followed the diet. I person aspirated because they did not tell them. They go by what you say and they do not do a KUB xray to very what you say. Tell them if you ate anything, people can get really sick for aspiration, or worse. I am back home and doing well. Still a bit uncomfortable, but that is normal. I haven't learned to read the signals yet as to whether it is hunger, gas, or I consumed too much. I have to learn to differentiate the symptoms. I spent an extra 2 days at the Hamptom )120 a night, but I wanted to give myself some extra time because I have a history of blood clots and it is a long flight back to New Orleans. Mainly, ask questions and answer their questions truthfully..

Hi, my name is karen and i'll be having surgery with Dr. Almanza on Nov. 29th I've been looking for a hotel for the day before which are pretty pricey. i talked to a Michelle at the Dr's office and she said we could stay at the 5 star Ticuan for 55.00 the night before surgery as long as there were like 3 people who wanted to stay. and they would pick us up at the airport for free. other wise it would cost 100.00 for just 1 person to be picked up. so if you would be interested in saving some money and being in a 5 star hotel give her a call.. at 954-617-9713 be alot cheaper than staying in san deigo...

Thank you to everyone for all the welcomes. I will have to learn more about this site since I am not familiar with blogs and forums. I am running the treadmill of trying to get everything in order before the surgery. Many things to do, very little time to get them done.
