Hey!

Made it home this morning, feeling pretty good actually! Needing to get a LOT more sleep, but other than that, I feel very good. Sticking to clear fluids for the next couple days, but did do some grocery shopping for a bunch of different soups/jellos/protein supplements etc. I think the best part about the whole thing is the fact that I have already lost 16 pounds since the start of my pre-op diet.... Looking forward to the next few weeks/months, this is gonna be a beautiful journey. Hope all is well with you as well!

Wow tomorrow I get to go home can't wait ......miss my bed.

Thanks, I am doing well. 4 weeks out now and I can finally add a little bit more food in and it really has helped. Still is hard to get all the other stuff in drinks and protein etc., but I am figuring it out and will get there, or I won't, but I feel pretty good. Good luck with your surgery on the 12th. All I can say, which I am sure you already know, just be ready for it to not be in a hospital setting. I think that was my biggest shock when I went. I have had 3 babies, and 3 surgeries, all in hopsital type settings, so MX was kind of a shock to me. It is adequate care though, they make sure to give you the medicine you need etc. I advise you to ask as many questions when you are there if you have them until you feel completely comfortable with the situation. My husband came with me so I stayed one night in the recovery room at the clinic and the next 2 at the hotel. The hotel was lovely. There were 3 of us the day I went who had our surgeries done at the same time and all of us recovered differently. If you have researched thoroughly and know what to expect you will do great. Keep me updated on your progress. I have also blogged my experiences etc. if you want more detail.
