Just seeing how your doing

Hey long time no talk.. Well I have lost 85 lbs so far.... I am at 192 and its wonderful to fit into a size 12 again my youngest actually calls me skinny lol !! I would like to get to 150lbs it's going slow but that's ok I guess. I try to run at least 3 miles a day...sometimes I only do 1 or 2 but I try for at least 5 days a week. I have also have run 3 official 5k's... Yay

I'm so proud of you! 60 lbs whoo hoo. I'm hanging around the 45 lb weight loss. I hurt my back and have not been able to work out, but I'm ok with that. I'm a size 10/11, feel great, and only have 25 lbs more to go to hit my goal weight of 145. It will come off, just a bit slower. Keep up the great weight loss. Did you see my before and after pictures? Post some of you!

I have been doing that 5k workout, I am up to 2 miles jogging!! Yay and my first official 5k is on may 11

My surgery date was December 5 also, I have lost 46lb

Nervousness and apprehension are absolutely normal and I can Certainly identify with that.
Recovery is different for everyone. I've heard of people returning after a week but I couldn't.
Maybe if I worked from home it would be easier. In the meantime, FMLA is my option.
3 weeks prior to surgery, I began the liquid diet and lost 17 pounds. After surgery, I have lost another 13 pounds. To date, 30 pounds total. I can't believe it!
I sip three meals and continually sip 30 minutes after the meal and stop 30 minutes prior to the meal.

It took me almost two years to get here. I wish could've done it sooner but insurance would not pay.
I found Dr. Jawad through a friend who went through the gastric sleeve and recommended him highly.
Research and consultation with your doctors is key to helping you make a decision that you are comfortable with.
Of course, having a companion that understands and supports you is reassuring as well.

Good Luck on your surgery. Dr. Jawad is the best and you're definitely in great hands.
I am two weeks post op and can tell you that the pre-op diet is the most important preparation for the surgery. It will help you post op.

I just had my staples removed by Cristina, Dr. Jawad's nurse. She has the hands of an angel....you will not need to worry because you will not feel a thing.
