Hi, i've never been good at talking about myself, but here goes.......I'm here basically to get a chance at living a normal life. I have high blood pressure, I'm pre-diabetic, cholesterol is high, pain in my knees, pain in my neck & pain in my back. I need a change and I can finally admit that i need help making that change.

Ive been pretty lucky and things progressed pretty fast for me during this process. My insurance required 3 months of medical weight management. I was able to use 2 past visits from my PCP to count towards them. I also talked to the surgeons office before ever meeting with the surgeon to ask what testing was required. When i visited with my PCP before my first appointment with the surgeon, he gave me orders for almost every test i needed. I did wait to do the tests until i met with the surgeon, to make sure they were the right ones. My surgery would have originally been scheduled for February or March. Now its at the end of December. I guess the way things happened means its meant for me to do this. If youre interested heres my timeline:

10/20/12 - First Support Group - Done
10/31/12 - First appointment with Dr Noel Williams - Done
11/2/12 - Sleep Study - Done
11/6/12 - Chest Xray, Abdominal Ultrasound & Upper GI - Done
11/8/12 - Psych Eval- Done
11/9/12 - Pulmanary Function Testing - Done
11/14/12 - Cardiology Clearance - Done
11/15/12 - Submitted to Insurance - Done
11/21/12 - Approved - AWESOME!!!
12/7/12 - Pre Surgery Nutrition Class
12/20/12 - SURGERY DATE - whoo hoo!!!!!
