I had the same problem with the anesthesia, the night of my surgery I had dry heaves and it was absolutely horrible. I feel really good now though. I am totally looking forward to Monday when I advance to blended/pureed mushy foods lol. I got on the scales this morning and was down 20lbs. I was floored.

Congrats.I am feeling pretty good. The first few days after were rough because I was so nauseous.I am pretty sure it was the anesthesia. How are you feeling?

Thank you all soo much for the words of encouragement. I am home and doing great. I had a little mental meltdown sunday however, I am okay now and made it through it lol.

Oh it is perfectly fine. I am so impatient. I called my insurance and they have approved it now I just have to wait for Dr. Steely's office to actually receive it ugh. He did my lap band back in 2008 I love the people in there especially Judy. She is awesome. Does he put you on a diet before the surgery and if so what will it involve?

Hi! So sorry I am late in getting back to you. Dr. Steeley was wonderful as were all the staff at Gateway. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this whole journey. I was sleeved on the 16th of February and am down 90 pounds. I have gone from a tight 24 to a 14 in jeans. From a 5X top to a 2X-1X. I feel amazing and would recommend this to anyone. The pain was nothing I could not handle although the gas pain was a bit rough at times. This does not last for long, however. I have had hair loss but at this point, that is slowing way down. Be sure you supplement with lots of sugar free jell-o and Biotin. Follow the docs orders and rush nothing!!! I still want to drop another 80 pounds and know at this point it is going to be much slower progression.
