Courtney...I read your post about being depressed. What you are feeling is normal! You just had a major surgery that has thrown your digestive system into shock. Healing takes time and learning to keep the balance of the food routine can take longer. Try not to be hard on yourself. Please talk to a therapist if the depression does not pass.
After my surgery (July 2012), I did not have regrets, however the path has not always been easy...but it is well worth the journey. There are days, I still struggle to eat enough protein and drink enough water. I definately feel better when I do What is easy and feels fantastic...is having the excess pounds disappear, seeing your shadow change, throwing away clothes that fall off your body, having more energy and gaining more self-esteem. Keep your focus and take one day at a time! Take care!

Hey Courtney, thank you for replying to my post. I put the wrong surgery date. I actually had surgery on the 2/22, about 2 weeks ago. I'm feeling better and trying to get into a routine. I look forward to hearing from you. :0)

Hi Courtney, I see your sleeve was done by Dr. Alamanza. I am also schedualed with him on march 5, 2013 in Tijuana, Mexico. I am from south central Louisiana, near Lafayette. Hello. I get sleeved by Dr. M. Almanza on 2/19. They are sending a driver to pick my guest and I up at the airport early Tuesday morning (9) and then off to the hospital to prepare for surgery! I am excited to see everyones updates over the next few weeks and months.
