Hi Jen ! It's bizarre because I'm never hungry. I eat because others eat and because I have to or because it look good ! So I eat at meals or every 4 or 5 hours I guess but can't eat more than what I told you. Yesterday there was a gathering in a park for our holiday "Fete du Québec" and packed a picnic, I had 2 crakers with Brie cheese on them and that was all with a little red wine and danced all evening ! I feel good even if I can't eat. Anyways, hope your brain stoppes talking to you in that sense ... hi hi ! Take care and keep in touch. Love Lynn xx

Hi Jennifer ! Sorry about the cancer, my god, don't know what to say ... stay strong and you'll be a champ ! I don't know why the weight has come off this fast, didn't exercice at all, just couldn't eat alot and still can't. Throwing up still with some foods. In one sitting, I can't eat more than one or two sushis and can't drink at the same time or it comes up. Anyways, I am stable now with the weight, I guess my body understands that I don't feed it more than I do and I have stopped losing weight, I hope. I don't want to be stick thin either, some people even say I'm to thin now but they're just not used to seeing me like this. I would want it to stop right about now at 125 pounds, this was my goal weight. I wear sizes from 0 to 4 depending and extra smalls. Anyways, I wish you a easy battle with the breat cancer and I will be thinking about you. Love Lynn xx
  8. omg, Lynn... you are so lucky! I am only half way and I'm 7 months out. I don't exercise and I've been kinda messing up with carbs. Did you do anything the wrong way? A lot of things are easier for me now, but I still want the other half off. How much total did you intend to lose anyway? I hope sun comes your way soon! Lemme know on the other stuff. ps...got breast cancer now, so I'm gonna have a bi-lateral mastectomy (screws up a LOT of things, can't work, etc). tty soon. love, Jennifer xx

Hi Jen ! How are you doing, saw your picture, looking mighty fine there ! Everything good here ! If the sun could only shine in Montreal, gee whizz ! Nice day today but another day of rain tomorrow. Anyways, I'm now at my goal weight of 125 pounds. My ackes and pains are gone and I'm very happy, wouldn't trade this operation for anything. Hope th hear from ya ! Love Lynn xx

Thank you! I have had a lot of stalls along the way, so that's pretty normal. I still probably don't eat enough calories, but I'm working on that. I'm lucky if I hit 700 calories a day, and I need at least 800.

I just exercised a ton (now I'm walking a lot since the weather is nice) and I'm extremely regimented with my eating. I never ever eat bread or carbs, I only eat lean meat, eggs, cheese, skim milk, chili, yogurt, peanut butter, and sometimes a cup of coffee if I need it. I don't eat anything sugary. I know a lot of people this far out are eating breads and pasta, but I avoid all that stuff. I haven't even tried it. That's basically it. Protein and exercise as much as I can.

About MissouriJen
Sleeved or not sleeved:
I have had a gastric sleeve.
Biography:
I just turned 46 (9/'12). It seems that no matter how I modify or cut back, I don't lose much or steadily...and then gain it back! I was 221 two yrs ago when I married (again, lol), thanks to hcg diet and 500 calories a day. I know I can't/don't want to do that again. I want/need a permanent solution/tool, longer life and to be healthier. I'd like to feel better, look better, and wear smaller clothes again. I want my joints to not ache when I first rise from the bed.

4 months from being at a year...

by MissouriJen on 07-17-2013 at 07:29 AM
Hello All,

I'm 4 months out from my surgery date and have 45# to goal. I have been partially lazy on this journey and a little 'bad', but not too bad. I haven't been able to do any exercise or movement for the last weeks, due to surgery for breast cancer (sucks). I am finally getting mobility back though. Maybe the surgery kicked my metabolism up and that's why I just lost 5 pounds in the last week. I'd certainly like it to continue!

I need to go back to work!!

Finally broke the under 200!

by MissouriJen on 04-17-2013 at 04:04 PM
Well, it's about time! I have been hovering between 203 and 200 for the last 7-8 weeks. I admit, I haven't been doing EVERYTHING right, exactly....and I am sporadic about 'exercising'. But as of Monday (4/15), I finally broke to the 199 side and didn't go back up. Whereas, I had hit it twice in the last couple of weeks, only to go back up 2-4 pounds. You all know how that works! I know I'm on the way down for sure now, since today I'm on the bottom of 198 (198.2).

I know

Diabetes type II...Anyone improve? How long?

by MissouriJen on 12-02-2012 at 12:08 PM
Hi fellow sleevers!

I feel pretty great, not quite two weeks out. I am happy with my loss rate. I wish I could lift weights already, lol.

I have type II diabetes, diet controlled (was on pills) and my A1c before I left (for the last 18 months) was 5.7. I do occasionally (weekly) check my sugar level in the morning (fasting) and it would hover anywhere from 86-128. The part I am now frustrated about is that since the surgery, I am at 130-145 when I test!!

Portion sizes

by MissouriJen on 11-29-2012 at 01:36 PM
Okay, so I know now that my bigger problem isn't what to eat, it's how much I can actually handle. Even though I put a small portion in a bowl or on a saucer, it usually turns out to be too much. And that small portion often gets cold while waiting patiently to be consumed.... ewww.

I have waited a lil too long a couple of times and feel shaky, then can't get my food in fast enough to suit me, but I guess I'll straighten up. lol.

I must admit... I am SUPER

ok... who else moved forward faster on the post op diet??

by MissouriJen on 11-27-2012 at 07:42 AM
I am curious as to who moved forward a little faster than their 'recommended' post-op diet stated?

Mine (from Dr. Almanza) said to also have clear liquids and a few select creamed soups, etc... on week two. I kinda did that on Saturday and then moved to week three from Saturday to now. I don't have a desire to move forward faster than that, just tired of the clear broth stage.

So, I was curious as to who else did this or similar and whether or not you had any
