Hi there! I see your doing great! Everything is going okay with me. I continue to hit stalls which is so frustrating. I lose 10lbs and that's it..I am at stall. I work extremely hard lose another 10lbs and have been at a stall for about two weeks now. I really can't stand these off and on stalls. I want to lose weight and be done with it. If you have any suggestions please please please share! You are a huge inspiration and I pray my journey is just as successful!

I am great, just had my 6 week appointment. My first 3 were rough but now I am excercising and feeling amazing! Weight loss going a little slower than I expected but that's ok its not a race and I can't compare my journey to others. My big stuggle that I know is hurting me is getting in the calories. I have no issues getting in protein but I am supposed to be @ 900 calories per day and I am falling short of this goal. Not that I don't want to I literally cant do it! I never thought in my lifetime I wouldn't be able to get in enough calories. Hell before the sleeve 900 calories was breakfast!

Well I've have two days of less than 1,000 calories!!! And every night this week I've walked two miles with my neighbor, and 4 miles at work. I was 269 lbs Monday, and as of this afternoon I'm 265 lbs. Have you ever eaten the Premier Protein replacement bars? The past couple of days I have skipped breakfast (bad habit) and only drank water until around 11am. I eat one of those protein bars, and I snack on some turkey sausage bites until dinnertime which is protein and veggies. Something happened to me, I don't know what it is...but I finally stopped being hungry. Should it have taken this long??? I thought right after surgery you stopped being hungry? Also, just found out today I need my gallbladder removed. So, I should drop some more poundage after that surgery.....

I wish I had your determination....working full time and taking care of my two doggies plus my hubby is tiring. When I get home from work, all I want to do is cook a healthy dinner and relax. Jewelry making is my favorite past time, although recently I have gotten back into exercise. I power walk/run every night with my doggie and he seems to love it. I saw my nutritionist today and got some good news: my fat-free/muscle mass is now more than my body fat mass! I was so excited. I wish my periods would come back on a regular basis, I had my first one right after surgery and they disappeared again. But I had one last month, started on the 17th, with 400 mg of progesterone taken for two weeks. Maybe that's what I'm going to have to do every month to have a regular cycle, I don't know. All that matters to me is to get my body in shape for baby, and if that means taking pills to have a period.....that's fine with me. You really look great!!! Send some of your motivation/determination my way, hahahaha.

YOU LOOK AMAZING! It's been so long since I've been up here, work has been crazy hectic so my diet has been hectic as well. I've lost 50lbs total, I'm about 15 lbs shy of what my surgeon says I should be. I got so lazy....but now I'm back on the stick so to speak. How much have you lost now? And how goes the PCOS? My GYN put me back on the Metformin XR 750mg twice a day, and we had our first cycle of Clomid....which was unsuccessful unfortunately. It was an experiment to see how my body reacted to it, now I've got two months left to try after I'm a year post-op. <3

Happy (NS)V-Day!!

by shrinkinggirl on 02-14-2013 at 12:11 PM
In celebration of all the Non-scale victories out there, and in conjunction with this silly holiday some people celebrate- I thought I'd turn my frown at being single upside-down by sharing a NSV for today!

I was chatting with a co-worker about a dress I saw at Salvation Army and mentioned it was a size 14- she said "You're WAY smaller than a size 14!" (I'm a 12 so not WAY smaller but still!!) It made me smile BIG on the inside that someone looks at me and does NOT see

Check-up Champion!

by shrinkinggirl on 01-31-2013 at 09:23 AM
I went in to see my regular doctor today after having not seen him since prior to my surgery- he was blown away by the way I look and my amazing progress. The best thing that happened though, is that he took my A1C blood test while I was there and it came back 4.6!!! A normal range for A1C is anywhere below 5.7 and mine USED to be anywhere between 9 and 10 which is ridiculously high! I am officially NOT a diabetic and I NEVER will be again. Thank you SLEEVE!

by shrinkinggirl on 01-30-2013 at 01:57 PM
The incredible last 6 months have completely transformed me- not just physically, but emotionally as well. Here are a few highlights of these post-surgical last 6 months:

* I have lost 79lbs
* I am off all medications for high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, infertility, and severe metabolic disorder
* I no longer have to use a CPap breathing machine at night
* I have 4 regular periods in a row after never having a natural period on my own in my entire

The astounding reality of the 180s

by shrinkinggirl on 12-12-2012 at 08:20 AM
I knew this surgery was going to be a success for me because in my heart, I felt like the timing and the desire had aligned- I was extremely positive and enthusiastic for a new life that did not include me hating myself for failing to meet the standard of feminine beauty- but somewhere in my heart of hearts I still feared that it might not be the answer. I could not be more delighted that I have defied the fears of my heart of hearts.

Here I stand this morning, only 2 lbs away from

One singular sensation!

by shrinkinggirl on 11-19-2012 at 08:28 AM
We've all talked about this before- the beautiful, life-changing accomplishment of seeing a 1 as the first digit of your weight and knowing that the 2s are gone forever, for the rest of your life, and you will never see them again. It's such a tremendous feeling. As a 30 year old woman, I had spent at least 5 years resigned to the fact that I would be a fat person forever- and that fat people were not worthy of love. Despite what individual friends and family may have tried to convince me of
