Hi my name is catheryn I have been trying to have the (Gastric Sleeve) since 2011 and it seem that medicare just decided that they will cover it in 2013, my nurse just called me on 01/07/2013 that medicare has said yes to my sleeve, I will see the doctor on the 01/23/2013 I have had every thing done that I need to have done, I guess it is a go a head thing. I pray I will have it no later than 02/13 pray that every thing go good.I will be 60 year's old in July, have lost about 23lb since I started trying to have my sleeve started out at 215lb and now am 192lb.

Hi Marilyn, I am doing pretty good, I could be doing allot better, I don't have time right now to walk. My youngest is having a baby and is a high risk due to her heart. I have lost close 60 pounds in less than 4 months. I had my surgery in July. I am going to start water exercising after my daughter has the baby. Keep me posted on how your doing!!

HI How are you doing? When did you have your surgery? I always wonder about the larger ladies and how they are doing. I was 440 at one time and curious. Most of the ladies on here don't even have half the weight to lose I do. I just had my surgery a month ago and am doing OK no real complications to complain about. Just starting to get back to my water exercise classes. Hope you are doing well.

I had Dr Portenier, from the Duke WLS Clinic, only had the surgery at Durham Regional.

I had mine done at Rex Hospital & Dr. Paul Enochs of Bariatric Specialists of NC did my surgery. What about you?
