Glad the diet went well! Are you still handling it ok? I didn't have much trouble with it because I was so darn motivated and wanted to do everything perfect, and now that I feel like I've messed up, I'm really having a hard time forgiving myself. I guess the med thing, I've really got to get serious about and stop moaning and groaning. I've always been SO good about taking my medicine. I don't know what the deal is. Maybe because I was so full of anxiety all of a sudden and felt like my meds weren't helping me at all after the surgery. I'm a mess. I totally wish I had health insurance and a counselor. I've had to get my meds from the free psych clinic here in dallas for 7 years, and no one to talk to, always a different doctor. I've come a long way in those 7 years and I just want somebody at that clinic to say, hey! Good Job! LOL. I've forgotten when your surgery is! I'm so excited for you. Ask your dr. a gazillion questions until he turns blue in the face. There's just not enough info out there that we all need answers to about what is and isn't normal. My psych drs. haven't a clue about what gastric sleeve does to mental illness or medications we take. I've read so many forums, but not one thing on the internet related to mental illness as well, so we're the first, and we need eachother

Thank God I'm working again, doing a very simple job administering immunizations. I lift a lot of heavy boxes but not quite the same as lifting dead weight, so I'm good in that department, thank goodness. I think I've healed pretty well. As far as your back and physical pain, you will be amazed at how quickly your body will readjust itself once the weight starts falling off. My posture, everything has changed. Finally muscles that we haven't been able to use in a long time will start working again.

How are you doing? Sorry it took me so long to write you back. I have been in a depressive funk.I haven't lost any weight in 3 weeks & I HATE that I have this nightmare of a fear that I have or will sabotage myself & stretch my pouch. Most people on here say you can't stretch it very much but I can eat to the point of pain & keep eating. I'm very upset with myself right now, but I'm hoping just a tiny bit of weight loss will get me motivated again.
Yes, I was told I have to crush my pills for life & can only take childrens liquid tylenol for pain. Eventually you will have to add Calcium Citrate pills & crush them as well with your meds. Every gastric sleeve patient has to take Calcium Citrate, because our stomach produces so many important elements, & most of that portion of the stomach is taken away. Admittedly, I'm all of a sudden not doing too hot taking my meds. It's time consuming, disgusting, & a pain in the behind. I was mixing with honey strawberry natural greek yogurt but the aftertaste lasts forever. So then I thought, I'll just crush it & toss it in the back of my throat & down it like bc powder, & chase it with a glass of water, but then my stomach got really irritated & made me really hungry all of the time. If you take any time released medications, DO NOT CRUSH & talk to your doctor about it. No ibuprofen & no aspirin. Get ready to pay the price of getting healthy by enduring more physical pain. Tylenol doesn't touch me, so headaches or cramps, I'm screwed.
