Hi! Did you think I was gone forever? So sorry that I have not checked in. Life has been very busy. I spend a lot of time with my daughter and new grandson, Kallan (born Aug. 6). Our time together is very precious to me. She will go back to work from maternity leave the end of Oct. at which time I have offered to watch Kallan 2-3 days a week. What a blessing this little boy has been to our family. I have also been busy with an intense bible study that I am taking. I devote 2-3 hours a day to studying and am loving every minute of it.

Back to talking shop about my sleeve. I am losing weight at a good rate. I've lost about 45 lbs since my surgery on July 3. All my clothes are too big and it feels so good! I can't express enough how losing the weight feels so fantastic, and how it has changed me so much. I feel better physically, but mentally is even better. I remember when I used to hate myself, now I love and live life to the fullest every day. Down side is I don't feel good when I eat, so I don't like to eat anymore, which is a good thing. I don't eat unless I'm hungry. I really watch what I eat, but trying to eat anything that is not really healthy for me just does not stay down. I get full very easily. If I eat 2 bites after I'm feeling full, I loose it. I think it's just a process of learning and it just takes time. I have a birthday coming up in about a week. My husband usually takes me out for a very expensive dinner and I told him that I don't want to do that this year. Just spend more money on a gift for me?

Ask me if I would do it again? In a heartbeat! Losing the weight has given me my life back. My friends tell me I'm glowing and bubbling with happiness! I'm on the go all the time. I don't even have time for TV anymore. I'm loving the new me! By the way, I'm not exercising, but I can go to the mall and shop for no less than 4 hours. Before the weight loss, I parked right at the door of the store I needed to go to and was in and out, and exhausted when I came out. People do this surgery! It's going to change your life and you are going to feel better than you ever imagined. Also, I have now stopped taking 6 medications. I am singing hallelujah! Would love to hear how you are doing!

Ok I'm getting all confused now. I've got to start reading my messages from the bottom up. I see you did get my message and did listen to the group, and God granted a miracle. So happy. Take care, Dylee!

Patty, I have been receiving all your messages. Did you receive this message from me this week?
Hi Patty. I am praying for your future son-in-law and your daughter. What is his name? Can I ask you do do something crazy. Go to the website thirdday.com for the Christian group, Third Day, and listen to their new song "I Need A Miracle". It's a new song that will be released in Nov. I hope you find faith and hope through that message of song.

My prayers are with your daughter's fiancé, his family and your family for God's provision for healing and for comfort for all throughout this storm.

I have had a family loss and a friend loss this week. Both guys were very young. You never know what tomorrow might not bring. That's why now is the time for your surgery. God answered one miracle prayer. We have to kept the faith and keep praying that this wedding will take place. Take care and stay in touch. Dylee

Easy-Peasy Surgery

by Harts4you on 12-14-2012 at 04:21 PM
Thank you to you all for the many, many good wishes and prayers. I had
my surgery 2 weeks ago and it was easy-peasy, lol. I had no pain, no gas,
no problems of any kind. I highly recommend Dr. Jose Rodriguez. My surgery only took about 35 minutes but I was in recovery about 3 hours. I remember
being taken to the pre-surgery area and trying to talk to the nurse. Then all
I remember was waking up in my room and seeing my husband. I slept through
it all, lol.

Today's my big day!!!

by Harts4you on 11-29-2012 at 03:08 AM
Leaving for the airport in a few hours. I have everything packed and ready to go. I feel like a little girl on Christmas Eve. It's going to be such a big, exciting day! I'm taking my puter with me, so I will try to post as soon as I can. Of course I was on my feet all day yesterday getting things ready and now both of my ankles are killing me. I broke one and badly sprained the other one about 3 months ago and had to postpone my surgery until today. Oh, well, I'll be getting pain meds before

a little of this, a little of that

by Harts4you on 11-25-2012 at 09:59 AM
It's really weird, I was getting scared about my surgery right before Thanksgiving. I was doubting what the heck I was doing. I am scheduled for Nov 29. I was lucky, my pre-op instructions said that I could eat all the chicken or turkey I wanted along with my liquid protein. So I ate lots of turkey on Thanksgiving day but I did sneak in 1 teaspoon of dressing. Not too bad. On Friday, I ate leftover turkey and had 2 teaspoons of sweet potato casserole, ended up spitting most of that out, way

changing my surgery date

by Harts4you on 09-17-2012 at 01:19 AM
Hi Sleevers, so sorry to tell you that I have to postpone my surgery. I fell down some stairs on Tuesday, Sept 4th and broke my ankle in 3 places. I was in the hospital for 3 days and have a brace on the other badly sprained ankle and a cast on the broken ankle, with 3 long screws inside. So I will be postponing my surgery because my injury will not be healed by Oct 6th.
In a lot of ways I am really upset because I wanted my surgery so badly. But I have read so much here about bloodclots
