You look awesome!! I had surgery 5 days after you, with Dr. Almanza as well. Just missed each other. My surgery weight was 186 i'm now 125lbs... I love Dr. Almanza!

Even at 3 weeks out it doesn't feel as if I had surgery. If it wasn't for the eating restrictions, then I'd be completely back to normal. I'm glad I have this tool because before I'd eat a whole house and not even care. Not having food control my life is well a relief because I don't have to feel bad about eating something good because it rarely happens nor do I crave it. I admit I like to graze at food, but more often than not I forget to eat. So I see that you traveled to TJ to have your surgery. How was your trip? I can imagine that must of been hard. Did you try around here first? I had mine done over at Reading Hospital, but to be honest I wouldn't of minded going out of the country because its like a vacation and what not.
Let me tell you a little bit about me. I'm 24 and choose the sleeve over the lap band when the dietitian told me about it. I'm glad I had it done. College student so the no drinking part is a little bit hard for me, but I can live with it. Do you do any support groups in the area? I'm part of this group on fb with ladies under 30 who have been or about to be sleeved. To be honest the support groups they have at the hospital really suck and found the websites to be more of a support than anything. It just sucks so much not to know anybody locally who has gone through it. The majority of my friends are little and skinny and have no idea what i am going through. So I am so glad you reached out to me. Hope to hear from you

Hey thanks!!! Its been a journey and really glad someone from the area is on here too!!!! Just had my surgery done about 3 weeks ago, so still in the "healing" phase. How are you doing?

just reaching out to other august sleevers. How are you doing. My weight loss is slow but it is working.

I'm doing really well. I haven't even taken any pain meds today. Yay!

Hi Jenny, I've been so blessed to have an uneventful recovery these past almost 4 months now. It's really the best decision I ever made and I'm absolutely thrilled with the results. By the end of this week I'll be 50 lbs down and back into onederland for the final time in my life, to stay there! I had no nausea after surgery and after eating anything thus far, although I am cautious about what I've eaten and how much. At the first physical sign of having enough to eat, at one time, I stop eating. I'm really amazed at how its all been thus far. Wishing you the same!

thanks so much.....I am quite scared about this whole thing...My sister and I are doing it together and we have second thoughts on a daily basis! But then we know we will regret it if we DONT do it...I have fears about the dumbest things....drinking the dye and vomiting...go figure!

I know you are really close to your date and I just wanted to say Good Lucl, I am having surgery on the 25th and I know how you feel about the excited and scared but you will be great.
