Well, it is finally here. Tomorrow is the big day. the all liquid diet has not been as hard as I thought it would be. My bag is packed and I'm hoping for a good night sleep. the next time I post, I will be posting on the sleeved side of life.

Dr. Weaver was my surgeon also shes great i hardly had any gas pain and no pain at all from the surgery, good luck on your upcoming date.

I don't know why that all poured out today.. maybe because I don't talk about it around here because my other sister isn't able to deal with it and I dont burden my husband and kids, ya know. I try not to think about it most of the time.. just right now my mind is thinking nonstop! I think that is a normal thing right before this from what Im told.. Then I tried to retract it and couldn't figure out how!

It sounds like we have a lot in common. Except I'm not a newlywed! Conratulations on your marriage! (I've been married 24 yrs) I have 5 precious granddaughters (2 I have raised since birth). I was thin up intil my late 30's. I think stress at work, family illness/loss etc. manafested itself as fat on me! I chose to do this because of the HTN which has landed me in ICU a few times and the bariatric team said she has never seen one come into the clinic as high dispite a lot of HTN medications. The Diabetes thing just sealed the deal for me! There is no backing out now!

I have always been as healthy as a horse before but lately, as crazy as this sounds, I've had the feeling I am not going to be around long unless I get this bp under control.. Maybe the diabetes dx yesterday is Gods way of telling me this is what I must do... Who knows..
