I see we are both from the KC area! You have done outstanding on your weight loss! Congratulations!
I have a different surgeon. I am with Malley Surgical Center, but everyone on this website speaks highly of your doctor.

Sleeved or not sleeved:
I have had a gastric sleeve.
Biography:
I'm 43 yrs old. Been heavey most of my adult life. Tried a lot of different weight loss tactics.. none really had staying power. I decided it was time to make a permanent change. My baby is 14 so I could no longer blame it on "baby weight". Beings that I was pretty athletic in my younger days, I knew all I needed was a "tool" to help me get the tonnage off for good. I did my research and decided the gastric sleeve was for me. I didn't want gastric bypass as I believe all parts are made to work together for a reason. I did not want lap band.. I've heard nothing but negativity about that contraption. Plus I know eight folks that have had the lap band and regained all of their lost tonnage plus some.

A few of y'all wanted to know how I lost so much so fast. Wellll.. I didn't eat sh*t the first 7 days following surgery. I lost 29 #s in 7 days. Now, with that being said, I DO NOT suggest anyone else do that. My problem was the protein shakes. I barely tolerated that mess before surgery (the 2 wk liquid diet from hell) and after surgery, my sense of smell was very sensitive. I couldn't get the cup up to my nose before I was dry heaving. And begins that the sugar free jello and fat free broth they
