It is great to hear from someone close to home! I am not familiar with Dr. Kowalski. Is he/she with a group? I am with Malley Surgical Center. Good luck to you! Your special day is coming right up! Please let me know how everything goes!

Once I completed everything I had about 3 weeks to surgery date but I'm self pay. I tried to get insurance to cover it but i was denied so everything for me moved fairly quickly. The stomach scope is a piece of cake! Over with before you know it. I'm feeling very well. Started back at work this week. I do hair so it was kind of difficult the first day but it's getting better. I had my surgery at prairie star. Very nice recovery suites! Do you have to do a supervised diet per your insurance company?

Hey there... I'm feeling pretty good. Down about 25 pounds and it will be 2 weeks since my surgery on Wednesday. Still a struggle with head hunger and i feel like im ready for every kind of food but my new tummy tells me otherwise. Definitely a life change but so worth it! Let me know if you have any questions. Good luck with your sleeve journey! Fingers crossed you will get that early October surgery date!
  9. FYI - I have never had a "real" food processor - I use a mini chopper from Black and Decker and just grind until they were pureed.
  10. I don't know how long your on the pureed food but this will get you started. I froze everything in ice cube trays and then popped them out and put them in ziplocks.

Blueberries and bananas - puree together. Delicious when added to oatmeal (cook like normal on the stove top and puree).
  11. Apples and squash pair together nicely. Cut a butternut squash in half (long way) and place in a 9 x 13 pan that has 1 inch of water in it. Bake @ 350 until it is nice and soft when you touch the skin (caution will be hot check with a fork. When cool enough to handle use a fork or spoon and scoop out the inside. Run through a food processor until you get the right consistancy. Mix with store bought applesauce (natural variety) and add cinnamon to taste.

Pears and peas - steam peas either on the stove top or in the microwave ( I always used frozen as they do not have additives) puree in food prossesor. Don't worry if it's lumpy at this point. Next boil some pears (bartlet work the best) and they when the skins start to split they are done. Use a paring knife and remove the skins and then cut them away from the core. Now add pear chunks to the processor until you get a desired taste.

    Chicken and cauliflower
Steam cauliflower until very soft and puree. Using a rotisserie chicken, remove and toss the skin and bones. In your processor add about 1/4 cup chicken with a cup of cauliflower and puree. If you need extra liquid, use chicken stock.

Apples and chicken - just like cauliflower and chicken but with apple sauce.
