One more week and I should be pretty much healed up so I can slowly return to doing things again....UGH!!! what did I just say? I am back to housework again... lol. Maybe I should tell the husband I need another 2 weeks? lol

I am working on some soft foods and find that I get heartburn rahter easily now.. maybe something to do with the surgery or not. taking things slowly here.. heading back to work next week..

doing great! finally the gas is starting to cut back, so that is a big plus. I am still having no pain, so I guess it has all been quite easy for me. How have you been doing on your end? I did have to start eating real food a week earlier than I was supposed to. It was the only thing I could do to get rid of the gas. Soup with a few bites of rice noodles, hot and sour soup, eating the soft stuff and avoiding the harder mushrooms and bamboo shoots, but getting the tofu down easily. I have always been one to suffer gas and reflux if my stomach was empty...so I tried the soups with just some small soft solids and the gas finally went away. Got some baby food too, which while I find it too sweet, is solid enough to satisfy.

Yesterday I was at a local restaurant and got a cup of tomato basil soup and a single piece of Alaskan cod. fish being a very easy to digest protein source. I scraped all the fish out of the breading chopped it very fine and added it into the soup. It was great. I am VERY careful to not over eat. If I get a bowl of soup, I have them bring me a to go set up with the meal and after I have everything "dressed" the way I like it, all but about the 3 oz I can eat right then goes straight into the to go container. It just takes care and attention and dedication to the weight loss, and things will work out.

Let me know how you are doing! Hope all is well
