I am going to show this post to my dad. He has been 320 for about 2 years now, but is unsure about surgery. He has bad knees, but is worried about what others will say. Thanks for the encouraging post!!

I haven't gone to any of the meetings, since the 2 that were required. I would like to start, just to share with any new folks that attend. Most of the people at the meetings I went to had the bypass and they didn't really share the type of info I would have liked to hear. Maybe I'll try to start attending next month.

Yes... my surgery was at Ellis as well. I am in Clifton Park. As funny as it sounds, I seem to lose more when I skip the gym. LOL BUT I seriously need to start toning up this loose skin. Do you ever go to the support group meetings? They are usually the 1st Monday of the month at the old St. Claires. I try to go, I actually enjoy it. Because of Labor Day, they are going to combine with the lap-band meeting on the second Monday this month. I notice better loss as well when I get a little more calories in. Well, it's always cool to find someone near by. Your the first Dr Clarke patient I've found.
