Hi, Angela! My name is Jenna, and I am so thankful I came across your profile and photos today. I know you had your surgery back in 2012, but I'm inspired because we had similar surgery weights and are close in age. Do you remember about how many calories you ate post-op? I've lost just over 40 pounds in 2 months, and I'm feeling a little discouraged because it seems like the weight loss is already slowing down. I've started doing some pretty hard core exercise but have been wanting to start Insanity. When did you begin that program? Any advice you can offer would be great! Thank you and congratulations on your weight loss you are beautiful (before and after!)

Just looking at your pictures is so inspiring. I started with an initial weight of 279 (before my 6 mos. pre op requirements). I just had surgery 4 days ago. I weighed 258 the day before surgery. My goal weight is 130. I only hope I can do as well as you have. You look AMAZING! Congrats on your success.

Hi Angela, You and I started at the same weight, well sort of. I was 260 on the morning of the surgery. You also had your surgery 4 months before me. First of all let me start out by telling you that you look fabulous! Anyway, I'm 141 lbs. and have blabby upper arms, flabby lower belly and very discussing flabby upper inner thighs, not even going to mention the breasts! You look very tone, did you do a special workout or did you have plastic surgery? I just some help, it's summer here in Jersey and I look scary in a skirtini bathing suit. Thanks so much. Hoping to talk to you soon. Im also 44 years old, that might have something to do with the flabbier skin

    Sincerely
    Rose

I was just in a forum when I noticed one of your comments and was drawn to your page. You look amazing! I was wondering how you managed to stay so toned? Did you do a lot of weights or cardio, and did you ever use a binder? My surgery is at the end of the summer and I hope I have success like yours!

I've been absent awhile but YES, I'm still alive :)

I feel kind of bad that I haven't posted in a while. It's amazing how much busier you are when you're not hiding behind your weight. I am currently 6 pounds under my goal weight, so I made it into the 120's at 129 lbs. Never expected that! I've lost more weight than what I currently weigh. That is just CRAZY to me. I've gone from a BMI of 42.0 to a BMI of 20.8, pant size of 22 to a size 2 (yes a TWO!) and 2x/3x shirts to a small. I went back to college full-time and just recently went back to work

Becoming more and more angry when I think about the last support group meeting I attended!

by aclabombard13 on 03-18-2013 at 06:53 PM
Can't stop thinking about my local support group meeting I attended last week. I go to these meetings regularly and there are a bunch of regulars. I always get such positive feedback from you wonderful people and I just want to be able to advocate for the sleeve and inspire others who are just starting the process. I've made wonderful friends through these meetings that makes the experience invaluable. However, at this last meeting a couple of regulars really turned me off. These are people who

Anyone have success with their insurance covering skin removal?

by aclabombard13 on 01-10-2013 at 05:47 PM
Since I am just about at goal, with a BMI of 21.9.... I am starting to think about getting my stomach skin removed and possibly a breast lift (slight reduction if necessary for coverage). I was wondering how many of you have had your insurance pay for either or both of these procedures? What did you have to do for the insurance to approve? How long did it take before you could have surgery? I have lost 124lbs in the last 9 months, I feel great with clothes on, but much less attractive with them
