Okay -- I can see that we are truly "sleeve sisters" I did not quit when I was pregnant either -- I got down to 11 cigarettes/day and was driving myself nuts about quitting until my doctor said "Enough, already. Your worry is harming the baby more than the cigarettes!" -- God bless that man!
So I tried the e cigs and will probably take one to the hospital but dang! they are not cigarettes.
I am not eating appropriately for the pre surgery diet either -- I am a bad apple. :/ BUT I will start the clear liquids a day early -- on Sunday vs. Monday and hopefully that will help.

I am a teacher and the house takes the back seat all school year, then I hit it hard over the summer.
Now I have 6 days to get it all done! Aaargh!! lol

I noticed on a friends page that you are going through the lovely experience of quitting smoking. It's a double whammy and it's not easy. I told the Dr. I had quit smoking because I needed the surgery quickly because I start my new assignment next week. I'm a home health nurse of all things! Luckily no complications or clots, I smoked literally up until the day before surgery. I couldn't quit. I would really like a friend that is going through these massive changes at the same time. I really hope we can be buddies and help each other out through this really rough time
