Hi! I'm also with Kaiser and just started the process to have surgery. Can I ask how long from getting your approval letter did it take to have your surgery?

Hi I also live in Colorado, Kaiser same surgeon! My surgery will be end of April or May. Not sure as I am doing classes right now. 5 left...how long after your classes did you have your surgery. I would love to know how you are doing and if you can tell me anything that might help with my journey. Did you like the Dr. You look amazing I am sooooo happy for you

Hey there - thanks! I'm 5 weeks out and everything is great! I had a huge loss up front (35lbs) and I've been stalled ever since but the inches are melting away. I also had a severe allergic reaction to the morphine they gave me in the hospital but dr husain is great!

Thank you so much for your support....I went to GNC and got a bottle of blue raspberry... I am going to go back next week and get all the stuff I need for my clear liquid diet the day before and the week after my surgery I am super excited

9/4 will be here before you know it!!! The Isopure is at GNC, and I bought four bottles to start with. For the Jell-o, all you do is follow the directions on the box and then substitute the cold water for cold Isopure. Keep the flavor and color the same (ie: orange Isopure with orange jell-o, etc...) Other than that, I can tell you that now that I am 3 weeks out...my favorite foods are roast beef hash (mixed w/ some cheese), cheese and lunchmeat roll-ups, carnation instant breakfast and pudding. I haven't been doing too much recipe experimenting.
You are going to do GREAT! Keep up what you're doing, I am so proud of us!

Dawn, I got my date today I am having my surgery on the 9/4..I am super excited..I start my liver shrinking diet on the 21st...going to buy all the stuff this week...My surgeon is Dr. Chea I met him last week...can I get the jello recipe from you and any others you can think of please :-)

Dawn, I'm glad to hear your surgery went well, how long was your hospital stay?

Michelle - Thanks for the wishes! I'm hanging in there. Came home yesterday and that was probably my worst day. No more good drugs to keep that bad pain away, and a lot of "action" getting in and out of the car and bumping around the roads. Today is much better. Resting solid. On a schedule. Hoping that each following day is better and better. I'm in Parker, CO...where are you?
