Surgery went well. I was in the hospital for 2 days and am now home. My stomach is a little swollen but for the most part the pain is tolerable. I cam home weighing the same weight as I did when I went in so I was happy about that because I heard that sometimes you can gain some back from the gas and the fluids. Dr. Floch was excellent and Norwalk Hospital was wonderful. My mom spent both nights with me at the hospital which was a huge comfort as well. I just started drinking the IsoPure and am doing a 1/4 c. IsoPure to 3/4 c. water with a lot of ice.

The pain I can deal with but my mouth is so dry that I want to scream.

I am really struggling with pre-op. Has anyone cheated on their pre-op diet and ate a bite or two of grilled chicken. I need something in my stomach. I have two more days on these Opti-Fast shakes and it's killing me. Then two days on clear liquids then surgery! All I can think about is if I will ever be able to eat again ever be able to go out with my family to a restaurant again. I am talking crazy.

In Sept. I was 271 and then when I started the preop diet I was 250 and today I am 238. I am thrilled to see my weight go down so please don't misunderstand me above. I am going to try to keep busy this weekend and not think about food!
