    Brie,
You're welcome. It sounds as if you have hit a tiny rough patch, but know you will overcome it. I am glad to hear that you are paying such close attention to your blood pressure. While I hope that your decision to have the Gastric Sleeve will eliminate the need for your blood pressure meds, it is important to stay on top of it until you are cleared by your doctor to not need them anymore. Make sure you are staying super hydrated during this time in your recovery. TAKE YOUR SIPS! Wishing you continued success in your recovery!

    Hi, Brie.
I saw that you had your surgery on Thursday and am hoping you are doing well in your recovery. I would be happy to chat whenever you need an ear! Hang in there, the pain is only temporary and in my opinion, walking really helps to either take your mind off of the pain and help to break up the gas they use to inflate your abdomen. If I can do anything for you, please, let me know. Happy to help.
    Kind regards,
    Kelly

    Hi Brie~
I am doing very well. I have had no complications so far and I feel pretty good as long as I get enough sleep. I am starting to try thicker liquids and get full very fast. I go back to work on Monday and am actually looking forward to it, I've been home for almost 2 weeks now. How are you doing?

  6. Hi Brie,

I tried to respond via private message, but it told me you couldn't receive private messages. Your surgery is right around the corner! Exciting! I would say with your back and foot, you need to be careful beginning an exercise program; definitely focus on low impact. I know elliptical is supposed to be one of the best forms of exercise. I have never had back surgery, but I've dealt with low back pain for a decade (bulging discs, dislocated discs), and I've had no problems since having the surgery. I just make sure to stretch really well after exercise and not do anything to stress my back. I've learned through trial and error what my back can handle. I still think eating right is 80 percent of the game, but exercise is definitely the icing on the cake so to speak. It sculpts your body and burns calories. Just start slow! Best of luck!

Brie, hi always glad to see folks from LA! My husband and I were both sleeved 12/20/10 and we are both doing great!! I reached my goal weight around the 1year mark and he wants to drop about 20 more pounds. His highest wt was 396, he now weighs 240!!! My highest was 275 and I am now 135-140 (us girls go up and down with our stupid hormones!) life is awesome!! We have no regrets and are thrilled with our results! Good luck and keep me posted!

5 days out, stomach feels queasy

by Brie on 06-04-2012 at 07:23 PM
I am managing to maintain my fluids (min. 64ozs.), and protein (65g) daily...I take all my required vitamins Multi (2 x per day), Calcium citrate (2000mg per day), BComplex 50's (1 per day), Iron (1per day), but my stomach feels mildly queasy everyday, I never come real close to throwing up or anything but I do not like that feeling. I do walk around ocassionally walk outside but still feel tired, weak. I just took a pill for nausea because I hate the feeling, so I hope I see changes soon.
