Yeah, I could lick that donut clean in next to no time. I'd probably only take one nibble of the dough - but the icing.......gone!

I was actually sleeved in April... end of April. Coming up on my 2 months. I've been at the same weight now since June 10th. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong. Perhaps I'm not eating enough? I'm hovering around 500 to 800 calories... more to the 500 side.

Would like to friend you. I will be sleeved in June and may need your simple wisdom thrown my way at times.
  4. Just added a before and after picture since I hit goal awhile back.

Holy cow! Awesome job on your weight loss. And thank you for sharing what you are doing to keep the weight loss steady. It's really helpful for a newbie like me (post op day 18) to know what works in the long run. I'm also a NYC'er but have not braved crazy stairs like you. You are my inspiration. Congrats again!

Like the Energizer Bunny, it just keeps going and going and going and lessons learned

After what I thought was my rock bottom weight and a lengthy stall the scale has began to move again. Since my surgery on April 16, 2012 I have now lost 249 lbs and am down to 226 lbs. Went from a 5Xl shirt to wearing a Large shirt, size 60 pants to a size 36 the length of my pants has increased two sizes (from wearing them now where I am suppose to). My foot size has shrunk from a size 16 to 14.5, My ring finger went from size 16 to a 14 also.

New Before and After Photo

by Jim on 02-01-2013 at 03:19 PM
As I posted a couple of weeks ago, I hit Goal in less than one year. I started my weight loss journey at 475 lbs and now weigh in at less than 250 lbs (results are not typical).

I wanted to show you the new ME! If you havent' been sleeved, this works but it is only a tool. I have a simple way for you to be successful
a) you want to change
b) Follow your doctors orders to the T
c) get outside support from others who have gone through this
d) Follow

Still amazed with my VSG

by Jim on 08-04-2012 at 04:30 PM
I haven't been around much since Fathers Day so I figured I should get back on and say Hi to everyone.

I had my sleeve done in April, and to date I have lost 135 lbs. If I am following the doctors orders and drink my protein I feel fantastic.
I have dropped from a size 58 pant to a 48. a 5xl shirt to a very very loose 3xl (actually need to go get a 2xl).

I love my sleeve!!!!

hope everyone is doing well...

Sleeved on Monday

by Jim on 04-18-2012 at 04:48 PM
Hi everyone, I was sleeved on Monday and am amazed. Yes I am sore, No I am not hungry at all, I have had to resort to sipping water every 5 minutes to keep my water intake up. What amazes me the most (and worried me about the others who had surgery), was I was the only one of the 5 other patients who all had surgery on Monday who was up and walking laps around the nurses station. Why would we go through the expense of this surgery and NOT et up and walk? Makes me wonder how compliant
