    hi suzie .. im doing well the hardest was traveling back 10 hours .. but now i am doing great.. just gotta get this water down and its been hard. did you feel hungry? not like a normal hunger but just that aching ..ive done well watching my family eat in front of me .. so thats a plus!!! sorry its taken me so long i have been busy trying to walk and stay busy!thanks for the wishes!

    You are doing amazing! I want to be at my goal weight by our one year anniversary! You can do it, it isn't that far off now!!! I just bought a size 14 jean and freaked out! LOL What is a C25K? You can do a 5K no problem, especially since you have been working out with a PT. I haven't worked out with mine in 3 months he actually quit working at my gym and I haven't been back since. But I joined the gym at my job, so I don't need to leave work to go... I bring my clothes and go right after work!

    Hi. I'm having surgery July 6 by Dr turnquest. Super excited but scared too! Did u have your surgery in the woodlands? I'm from Odessa so not sure about too much follow up.do you know what size bougie he used? I see you didn't have many problems I'm going mine is as smooth! Any suggestions???

    Hey Suzie! So far so good with the trainer! He is awesome and kills me every time! LOL I do about 15 mins of cardio before I work with him, he has me doing squats (which I hate!), made me do jumping jacks... planking! That is sooo hard, you hold yourself up on your tipy toes and forarms! I held myself last night for 44 seconds! Very proud! How is it going for you?? I have been very tired as well, but haven't been good about taking my supplements and have been under a lot of stress at work too. I haven't been counting calories but trying to keep the protein up I am down now 63 pounds!! I had to look at the scale twice to make sure it was right!! LOL How are you doing with weight loss?

    I am glad you liked the omlet! It is easy and fast and tastes good! Did you do the Turkey Meatloaf? Curious how that turned out, sounds really good!!

    Hi Suzie! I am glad I could help this week! You have inspired me as well... I have been to the gym 4 days in a row and am working with a trainer once a week!!!! So thank you!!! 51 pounds is amazing, always nice when the number is better than you thought it was! LOL I weigh in tomorrow... I do a weekly weigh in at home on Thursday... so I am excited/nervous to see how I did... there is still always a bit of doubt that I didn't lose on any given week, especially if I feel bloated! LOL

    I usually use splenda, that was the first time since with real sugar and the last! but I have always used splenda in coffee... except in Cafe con Leche, but those days are behind me now!

    Don't feel bad, the thing told me my message was too long also, but I didn't think to post in another message the rest of the first one like you did!! LOL

    How was the omlette??? They are good and quick and easy for one and if you don't have a lot of time!

    How has your week been so far? Good I hope, Have a great rest of the week!!!

    That's ok, at least you are taking steps to help with the grazing... I wanted something crunchy so I got some green pepper and cucumber, fat free Ranch dip... and that satisfied me... maybe (if you like the veggies and can tolerate them) try that instead of the peanuts and crackers. I am not going to lie, I have been a bit tempted myself... These are years and years of bad eating habits we are trying to get rid of, I think you are doing great!!

    I had some cafe con leche this morning with real sugar and it didn't agree with me, so I guess I now know sugar, real sugar is not my friend! LOL The egg beaters I use has 5 grams of protein for 3 tablespoons... I use 2-3 oz. I am not sure how much an egg has though... I think I could be better with protein though, I try... I am REALLY BAD with drinking!! I don't get enough fluid in and every visit that is the one thing they keep telling me, although I have gotten better each month It is just hard to get the amount of fluid down they want you to! Do you find any problems with that?

    47 pounds in 2 months is nothing to turn your nose up at!! That is great work and you will get to your goal! If we lived in the same state I would say lets walk together! I need to get back in the gym... how are you doing in that area? Did you go back to aerobics?

    Glad to hear you are problem free!! I know the feeling, I have had a stressful month as well with work... but I tend to deal with stress by NOT eating or I would eat sweets. This time I just didn't eat as much, I actually was able to stay away from the sweets. I have been slacking with the gym as well, I finally got clearance to work with a trainer, so I can't wait to start that. The push they give is just what I need! As for the grazing... what are you grazing on? I find I eat often, but I eat fruits and cheese for snacks.

    I am with you on the cooking, I too am cooking for one. Egg Beater Egg Whites have become my best friend! I whip up an omlette in no time, chop up some onion and green pepper, throw in a few mushrooms... and I am ready for dinner! It is quick and easy! that is how I like to cook! LOL

    My doctor's office has a nutritionist in the office on Thursdays, so I always make my appointment for that day because if I have questions, I can ask her! She is very helpful... so that is not a bad idea!

    So far I am down a total of 53 pounds!! I am pretty much staying on track and luckly (I think) I have been able to eat everything I have tried so far LOL chicken, steak, veggies, fruits, etc... I actually had frozen yogurt and it tasted soooooo yummy!! That is my one "cheat"!!! LOVE IT!!!

    Good luck and I know things will turn around (no more auditors)!! How about you with foods going down easy?

    My surgery is actually at Northwest Medical Center. Dr. Balette has just started working in the program there. My insurance requires me to be at this hospital.

    It was funny, tonight I had dinner at my best friend's house, who had the surgery Aug 1st, and both of our plates looked like we hadn't even eaten anything!! lol

    I am not eating chicken yet, the turkey is the deli meat... I am going to wait another week or two before I try those. I know what you mean about the extra bite... it is another thing we have to train our minds, I keep going to grab for a drink while I am eating and then say Oh right, I can't do that anymore! lol I am glad you liked the shake, sounds really good,that is a good idea about the powdered milk to add protein.

    I don't think I am doing as well with the protein as I should, everyday gets easier when I figure out what I can and can't tolerate. So far I have been very lucky!

    Tomorrow (Monday) I am going to the gym, I have never been so excited to go! My neighbor joined also, so we are going together. It is great to have that support to get me started, but I will be able to go on my own once I start. Your workout sounds great! I love working with a personal trainer, we have them at the gym, I will probably sign up for a few sessions with them. Right now my doc says I can do the treadmill, and in a couple of months I will be able to workout!

    That is awesome about your ring!!! Sometimes those are better than a lower number on the scale... I said sometimes! lol

    You had said you had a cheese enchilada, did that go down pretty easy?? Sounds really good!!!

    Hi Suzie...thanks for your message. Everything is going very well. (Knock on wood, ha ha). I think education, preparation, support, prayer, following the instructions diligently, and attitude (self-talk) have helped. I have had minimal pain, no gas, on phase 1 (clear liquid diet until tomorrow and then I start phase 2 full liquid protein diet). Do you know what it means to "strain" cereal (oatmeal, cream of wheat) or fat free cream soups (duh?).
    Let's stay in touch I see you live in Magnolia (do you consider it a suburb of Houston?); I live in Edgecliff Village which is basically Fort Worth.

    I am glad to hear your post-op went well!! Mine went very well today, I am down a total of 24lbs and I get to CHEW!!!!!! So right after my appointment I went food shopping! I got good stuff though I am learning how much, or should I say how little, I can actually eat! But so far so good, things are going down pretty well and staying there hahaha...

    What type of diet are you on, are you able to eat "soft foods" such as deli meat, cottage cheese, soft cheese, fruit, seafood? That is what I am on, I know everyone program has different ways of doing things as well. I bet you can't wait to eat those leftovers though, it is great to have something to look forward too!

    How did the shake with the frozen fruit go?? Sounds like a good idea!!

    How did your post-op appointment go? Mine is Thursday, I actually can't wait to see what I weigh according to their scale... I haven't gotten on my scale in over week, as I was getting on like everyday right after surgery and driving myself crazy!!! Isn't it nice that the hunger can go away with just a sip! Although, my best friend (5mths out of surgery) says she doesn't feel hunger, and what we think is hunger really is gass... Good luck with the counseling! I think that is a great idea.

    I am glad you survived the holidays, I can imagine that wasn't easy!! With the leftovers frozen, you have something to look forward to!! What is posole stew? I have been staying with my parents these two weeks, and last week my dad made skirt steak for dinner and I was so mad (not really) because that is one of my favorite meats!!! It smelled soooo good, so while they were eating steak... I was eating broth!! talk about meanies! hahaha

    I am just ready to chew something already!!! I actually chewed a piece of gum (I don't know if I was supposed to) for maybe 5 mins just to have the chewing sensation!! hahaha
