How are you doing at this point? How did you find a Dr here after you had the surgery in MX?

Has anyone had to get the endoscope? I am having real problems getting my fluids in and when I do eat something I feel a pain in my stomach about 5 seconds after I swallow it. It's annoying. I guess I should be thankful I'm not vomiting but I can only get about 2-4 teaspoons of food before I can't eat anymore. Not only am I not getting enough fluids but I am certainly not getting enough protein. I'm 14days post opp and should be able to tolerate soft foods such as creamed soups and mashed potatoes.

First day back is fine...perfectly normal. Today I was able to drink a little more. I think I've gotten down almost 32 oz. I had a cream soup for lunch but was only able to eat about 4 spoonful's. My stomach didn't hurt but it started making LOUD and weird sounds so I stopped at 4 spoonful's LOL I'm gonna eat a popsicle soon...those seem to be my best friend. I have already lost 11 pounds since my pre-opp diet (3day liquids) started! I've seen people on the forums eating mashed potatoes and such like 4 days after surgery! That's crazy. I'm not gonna mess myself up. I like food too but I don't want to go back where I was.
Heartburn is not an issue with me...I have acid reflux so I take the omeprazole twice a day anyway.
The liquid yogurt hurts me too but I am able to get 1/2 of the three ounce bottle down....about 30min later the other half:-) I bought a lot of stuff from Bariatric advantage online but so far it's all been disgusting so I'd rather eat nothing. I'm all chicken broth-ed out LOL you may have to remind me to tell you about stiches removal...I am doing those tonight. I can't wait! These things are driving me NUTS! Hopefully I won't even need the steri strips but I have them (and dermabond...glue for skin) just in case! when do you plan to remove yours? I can't believe people can stand these for TWO weeks!

I know. I was hoping to meet you too. I think my husband was able to meet more people than me....haha. I know I'm not getting enough protein or even enough fluids - but I just got back from the grocery store. I have some things to try once the heartburn subsides a little. I also bought some Zantac, which I'm going to start taking every day. Hoping that makes a difference. I was able to keep down a liquid yogurt while in Mexico, so I bought some of those to try and some cream soups....we'll see. Just that little trip to the store wore me out. How is our first day back at work going. Mine is tomorrow - luckily, I work from home - but I have a web demo at 8:30 tomorrow morning and another one at 10:30. Let me know how the stiches removal goes. I have some steri strips that I will use for a few days too.
