Hi Penny , hope your feeling well. I got a really bad infection on 2 of my incision sites and my rep wont even return my calls. they turned green and black and was infected before I left. the mom and daughter also told me hers was infected. megans mom Claire really appreciated james and michaels hospitality. they had a party but we were out . wow did you lose 30 pounds already? just wanted to say hi and hope your doing better. loves Christina and Michael. im still going through problems the antibiotics gave me two other infections , yuck cant wait till 2 more weeks to eat some solid foods

Hey Penny!! How are you? I'm feeling pretty good for as sick as I was. I actually worked full 40 hours this week. I'm down 15 pounds. Still feel weak & tired but I have really pushed myself this week. I'm having some pain still with drinking fluids but finally found some things it can get down. Small amount of drainage from incision but that is expected. Hope your travels home were safe & you are doing great. Thanks again for always checking on me & all you did to help. Best wishes.

Hi Penny! How are you feeling? Keep at it, you'll feel better every day, promise you will! Just keep getting up and moving around. Make sure your getting TONS OF WATER, always be sipping on water. You don't want to become dehydrated and wind back up in the hospital...water, ice chips...all that helps. Congratulations on the surgery!

I had my surgery yesterday all went well . I did have an embilical hernia done also. The worst pain is ther gas that I cant seen to burp up oh and by the way the gasx strips did not work!! The pain me da made all of us sick

My surgery went good. I had surgery about 10Am on the 6th, the first 12 hours were the worst. They warn you about the gas pain, in shoulders and back. Well I did not have that, I was throwing up, Dry Heaves. When the night nurse came on, he explained it was just the gas trying to get released.( I'm thinking sure right, no one else is re-acting like this) He explained that he would tap on my back to help me get rid of it, he came every 20-30 minutes and did this until I told his I was ok. After about the 4th time, I was ok. I did not have any shoulder or back pain due to the gas. Just soreness due to surgery. The Leak test, the purple stuff is awfull !!!!!!! They give you about an hour to drink it, I took a SMALL sip about every 10 min, and got it all down.
The place that they due the surgery and the hospital is in a strip mall. It was a shock to some, mainly the family members and friends that came along. the ones having the procedure knew already. (I thinking that was purposely left out). Staff was all wonderful, plenty of nurses and staff to help you. Doctors/owner met with you before. No one tried to rush you. If you have any medical experience, it is 'Old School", but there is nothing wrong with that. I have had no problems so far, able to hold everything down, drink what I have to. I am following the diet plan. There were some that ate soft foods before the JP drain was even pulled out. They got sick. Bus ride to Hotel BUMPY.

Hello time penny, like most people that are having surgery you feel mixed emotions but I assure you- You will have a very professional experience. When I arrived I went to a very small but very clean and tidy clinic. The nurse did blood work and they did my ekg. We later met Dr. Almanza and he will be the first to tell you he does not speak english well but some of the nurses do. This will be a good opportunity to ask any questions you have at this time. Dr. Almanza take away any of your fears because he has had this experience with gastric sleeve. It also helps that he is very easy on the eyes. (lol) After waiting on the remaining patients we returned to a beautiful hotel. Language barrier but very nice and polite people. Got rest and we were picked up @ 4am. I had 5 more people in my group. I was third in line for surgery. Went well and then went to recovery, Nurses will constantly check on your iv, stats, bp or whatever you need. After returning to the hotel I and my husband went walking and site seeeing and the night before our last night we went to the beach. Needless to say we crashed in the hotel.
