How are you doing? Are you feeling better?
I went to the Dr. on Friday and he told me I am doing well and released me to soft foods. I am down 14# since surgery and 45# since I started this process.
Beginning to get my energy back, and only am using pain meds at night so I can sleep.
We are on our way!!

Hi Kathy .Hows everything going with you.I had my surgery on thru and come home Friday.i got sick when thy gave me the water.i can only get in 42 grams OK protein and 64 of water.how about you?

You are probably still in the hospital - hope everything went well from your surgery. I finally came home from the hospital on Friday night late - SOOO glad to be home - now getting on to figuring out how to live the rest of my life.
You are in my thoughts!

Hope you are doing ok,I look forward to hearing from you.Im having my surgery done at the Med Center in Bowling Green Ky about 30 mins from here.cant wait to go to real clothing stores too,i want to be able to walk without my legs hurting,my son want me to go walking with him and i just cant now but thats going to change.only 2 more days and my life will change for ever,no going back.lol going for my pre op today,im still scared,take care hon will talk to you later

Well, mine is tomorrow - just got the call - surgery is scheduled for 8:30.

I am a bit scared - I would lie if I didn't admit it - but I am so excited to get this done finally, that it is chasing away some of the fears.

I am looking at it this way - we have a few weeks of pain and a future of new chances. I don't know about you, but I can't wait to feel like a normal human being again. I have friends who are my age that do rings around me- just think within the months ahead, we will be doing all the things that they take for granted. We will be able to go to a real clothing store instead of a fat lady one - and buy beautiful clothes instead of the shapeless ugly ones that are usually accepted for the big ladies.

How are YOU handling things other than the fears?

Please feel free to keep my name close and we can share both the good and bad. I don't know if my hubby will let me take my laptop with me -but I am supposed to be home on Friday - so you can write me - or come to think of it - you may still be in the hospital still yourself. Where are you having the surgery done? Mine is at the Cleveland Clinic - about 45 minutes away from us. Just think - next week you and I will be starting our new lives for real after all the hospital nonsense is over - YES!!

Hi Brenda:
Saw that you were scheduled for the Sleeve on the 13th. I am scheduled for the 11th. I am only 2 days away and can't wait.
Hopefully things will go well for both of us. Keep in touch if you like and we can share the UPS and downs.
