Good Luck with your surgery and don't forget to post your goals this month in the December challenge http://www.gastricsleeve.com/forum/t...challenge.html
  13. Thank you for saying it like it is.I think for me I look back at my gall bladder and the horrific results of that, and while it was gross at the time I survived it and im better for it now. I figure if I can get past that, and that was done as an outpatient procedure, where i was out of the hospital and on the way home 2 hours post op, then I should be fine after a couple of days to recoupe in hospital. I hate nausea but I love my gravol so I'll ask for that if need be. I know the team here really well cause I've worked with so many of them. I expect bumps. The biggest bump Im having right now is hubby doesn't want me to have the procedure, and he doesnt want to talk about it. We have been having issues for a while and I expect that this might be the straw that breaks the camels back. If we didnt have three kids, honestly I would be gone. There is no rage or yelling of anything, just two very unhappy people. We have decided to start working harder at understanding each other, and above all else we put our daughters first. Gonna be a very emotional month.
Thanks again for keeping me in the loop and hope you are better and better every single day!

Thanks for the well wishes. I am back in my happy place. The first couple of days were not pleasant. But it did not take long to start feeling better. It is definitely a learning process. Learn how many sips you can take before your stomach says I have had enough. I did have nausea in the recovery room but they were on top of it with meds immediately the first one didn't work so within a few minutes they gave me a second kink which worked wonders. I never throu up but wanted to. That was not pleasant but went away within 5 minutes. The pain was minimal but you will want to move slowly at first. One thing I thought from reading every ones post was the gas pains were from the gas they pump into you for the surgery. I had very little of that but my stomach and intestines went to work overtime producing plenty of their own. So the GasX strips do help. I had a morphine drip with a pcp attached so not pain to speak of. They gave me an oxycodone pain pill before they released me and an RX for more. I didn't even get it filled. That one pill gave me the most upset stomach of the whole experience. So I am back to my Trama-dol I was taking before surgery. I am just now 3 days out and feeling very good. Just taking it easy with the liquids and keep sipping a little every hour. I hope I did not scare you. Because it really was not that bad. If this 64 year old granny came thru with no complications you certainly can too.
