Woke up this morning with a headache. There could be many factors, including the fact that it is rainy and dreary outside and there had been several days of really good weather, filling the air with pollen and spores (year round allergies).
I made it through breakfast (cream of wheat and small amount of blenderized banana with orange juice (as approved by my surgeon), drank my 8oz ofwater and mid morning did 1/4 of protein shake (full carton still too much) then more water later

I had read on several of the blogs here the stages that the different surgeons require and thought that I still had another step to go through (the full liquid stage) before actual FOOD (yes, I know the other is food as well ) could start being worked back into my diet, but when I went to my binder yesterday to plan what I needed to pick up from the grocery store, I was SO pleasantly surprised to see that my surgeon is different. Who would have ever guessed that I would be so enthralled by 4 tablespoons of Cream of Wheat? But I have to tell you, after nothing but water and the sweetness of the protein drinks, it was almost like heaven on earth. I had to catch myself and remember to stop half way and wait for 10 minutes to see if my new stomach was going to rebel at this new addition, but man oh man, to have flavor back in my life. Surgery went well, not a lot of pain since leaving the hospital except when turning over in bed. Did have a small issue night following the surgery with my heart rate dropping drastically, but they woke me up and got me to walking around and it all turned out fine.
Just wanted to sleep yesterday, with a mild fever on and off through the day, so did not get all the liquid I should have, but I am doing much better today. Actually was able to do some work (working from home for the
