Food obsessive pre op

Just wondering if anyone else became a bit obsessive over food pre surgery, I'm due to be sleeved August 19 and seem to be relating to all food and food portions as "pre sleeve" even though I know I can still have everything after the surgery but in much smaller portions I relate everything to the surgery as if my life blood will end, is this normal?
