I have had a gastric sleeve.
Biography:
Parents on me about my weight since about 29 yo now even after the passing of my Dad I thought the comments would stop. So now at 58 I am undertaking this step after thousands of dollars on diets, CDs "programs" ect I hope this will be my answer.
No real health problems but sure is hard to tie shoes and not barf after a meal due to gerd. Hoping this makes it a bit easier to play with the grandkids too! Best of luck to anyone on this site. Here is to our taking the leap!

How do you keep your food hot!!

I am still in the pureed food stage. My Dr waits til week 4 before advancing to soft diet. I am having trouble just keeping what little I eat hot. Hate to keep going back and forth to reheat. Any suggestions or just figure out lots of chilled items. Any suggestions and what all has anyone else tried for pureed foods that were palatible

Almost a week out

The week has not been too bad. I have a hard time getting in the full amount of liquids a day that they would like ,but not dehydrated. Protein intake is also not what it should be just do not like the isopure or cytomax. Anyone with a better suggestion please let me know I do not want the muscle I have wasting away HAHA
Any thoughts on food processor over blender when it comes to pureed foods? I am trying to gear up for the puree!

Surgery Today excied but scared

After losing 13 pounds with pre op diet I was actually thinking about backing out but lord knows I could not do that diet for much longer then I already did.
At he hospital everyone was wonderful.
Home late this afternoon where I have mostly slept. Surgery was at 10:30 and I was home at 4:30. Taking 2-4 oz of fluid going for 58-64 oz starting tomorrow. Please keep blogging so that i may continue to learn from each one of you. Thank you all for your support
