Hi, I'm doing really well. It is amazing how each doctor has a different schedule for food. I was on liquid the 1st week, 2nd week added a soft cooked egg, cottage cheese, and re-fried beans, 3rd week added much more like 1 oz deli meat (chicken or turkey), canned fruit (SF), canned chicken/tuna (water packed), baked fish/seafood, low fat cheese. It's hard to get in the min. amount of protein (60-70g) even with the protein shakes. It was hard drinking them (nasty taste) so I ordered one online that a friend recommended. So far it's working. Pretty good on water/liquid.

Hardly had any pain since the first week but when I do it's around the largest incision where they removed the excess stomach and it is very minimal. I was told they have to put a few stitches below the skin in the muscle and it takes that a little while longer to heal. I also slowed way down/stalled on weight loss for a few days but this morning I had lost another pound. I'm trying not to be too concerned since it sounds like everyone has this happen. I'm 5' 3" tall and my weight after the pre op diet just before surgery was 184 so I'm not really wanting to lose too quickly but of course I want to reach my goal. On one had I want to reach it quickly but on the other I don't want to lose too much too quickly. I'm still waiting on the steri strips to come off so I can make sure everything and healed and there are no scabs before I get back to my swimming and water aerobics. (Oh how I'm missing those!)

Hi glad everything is going so well for you! I am feeling great! Was a little rough last week but made it through, I was just soooo tired! Man oh man I wish I could sleep in bed! Tried last night and could lay for a bit on my right side but not long enough to sleep so I moved back down to my trusty ol' recliner i will keep trying! I go Saturday for my next NUT app and will start pureed foods Monday, I cannot wait!! As of today I have lost 19lbs since surgery!! Woohoo I'm sure i will slow down and thats fine by me, slow and steady win the race right? Best of luck to you on your journey!!
