Thank you so much! I'm a bit confused as to what my goal is. My surgeon wants me at 141 lbs, which puts my BMI at 24.9, but I'm not sure I want to go there. I'm at 151 now, and am really happy with how I feel and look, and how my body moves. My goal for myself was to be in the 150s. So for now, I'm just continuing with monitoring my intake, and if I continue to lose while maintaining adequate protein and calories, they hey! it's meant to be.

Congratulations to you on your success! Wasn't it wonderful to not gain weight during the holidays?!!!

Thanks, I could not see the weight loss until my husband took this picture. I was on my way to work and he said he had to take a picture and show me the difference. Once i seen the pic, I was and still stoked. Never dreamed I would look like that again.

thank you so much. to be honest, it wasn't until I was about a year post op before I really started working out. Ofcourse I am a walker,. I do alot of 5k's .. I love to walk. I am far from being toned. I had an arm lift April of this year and I am having a thigh lift in a few weeks. still a disaster unclothed.

    Goldengal,
The slow losing rate is frustrating. I was afraid to eat in fear I would gain a pound and little did I know I did on a day I only took in 180 calories. I'm trying to eat/drink more and get at least 300-400 calories but it is so difficult. I've only lost a total of 11 lbs in 3 weeks. I haven't lost anything in a week. My recovery was great, no pain, no problems. Thanks for messaging me.

One year since surgery !

by goldengal on 07-24-2014 at 01:46 PM
Tomorrow will be 1 yr since I had my surgery. I feel great, can eat most anything, in moderation, and for the most part feel comfortable in my own (slightly baggy) skin. I was SCARED to have this surgery, mostly because it was in Mexico and NO ONE except my husband knew I was having it out of the country. He did go with me and even went back and had it done himself 7 months later! I am glad I did it. I have to choose to eat right now that I can eat most foods. It is a tool that helps, but

old and flabby!

by goldengal on 09-23-2013 at 11:47 AM
First I am thrilled to say that today is 60 days since surgery. Overall I am happy with my weight loss, of course who wouldn't want to lose a little faster? I see everyone's before and after and they look so crazy amazing!!!! Why do I see a face that looks much thinner and OLDER looking back at me and a body that looks much better in clothes but kinda melted naked. Am I the only one who looks in the mirror and still say yuck? I am not at goal but I swear my face is gonna look like a prune by

Losing a pound never felt so good!

by goldengal on 09-05-2013 at 11:24 AM
After a 14 day stall, I lost a pound today! Normally a pound would not be eventful but after waiting 14 days that pound lost is a beautiful thing. Today is my 6 week post surgery date and my weight loss is slow but I would like it to be more steady.... I hope this downward spiral of weight loss continues, I have stall phobia now...Hee Great more therapy needed LOL

Only 3 weeks out and weight not budging!

by goldengal on 08-15-2013 at 12:40 PM
I lost around 13 lbs my first 2 1/2 weeks and now I am stuck on the same weight the last 5 days. Isn't it a bit soon for a stall? Walking almost everday
not getting many calories in, still on liquids and applesauce consistency foods.
I could try and increase liquids. Anyone else experience this so soon in the journey? I had a BMI of 29 on surgery day. Gained 7 lbs fluid weight from surgery so lost that plus the 13 lbs in 2 1/2 weeks, but nothing for 5 days.... I haven't freaked
