    Thank you so much 'ANEWME'!
I'm so glad I now know someone who has Dr. Jawad.
I'm so glad you like him and have confidence in him.
I'm pretty nervous, but know this is what I need to do.
Yes, doing the pre-op diet now. It's not too bad.
How much have you lost so far? How long was your recovery?
I am only taking a week off of work.

Hi, how you doing, its crazy to think this time last week we had been sleeved, it only seems like a couple of days ago. My tummy is also making lots of gurgling, rumbling sounds, it seems to be 'talking' to me all the time, but I dont feel hungry at all. I didn't get an incision in my bellybutton, all five of mine are in a row across the top half of my belly. Hope your pain has eased now. I'm still a bit sore, but its getting easier every day. Alison.

I'm not too bad, gas pain not as bad as I thought was gonna be. Two of the incisions are very sore, but not had any pain meds today. I've lost 7 pounds in the last 3 days, 16 pounds in total from when I started the pre op diet 3 weeks ago, im happy I'm off to a good start. Keep in touch & let me know how you're getting on. Ali

POST-OP.. 1 month....BACK PAIN

by ANEWME on 12-13-2012 at 05:58 AM

For the past month I have been experiencing different types of back pain.
Two weeks post op, I rushed to my doctor because the lower back and upper middle back pain would not allow me to sit for more than 5 minutes. Standing and lying down was the only option. I would walk as much as I could thinking that the exercise would help remove any excess air.
Turns out the lower back pain was caused by a urinary tract infection. A low dose antibiotic was administered and after seven

The PRE-OP.......

by ANEWME on 12-13-2012 at 05:34 AM
I arrived at the Drs Office with my Honey by my side. After check-in, more patients began to arrive. Believe me Bariatric surgery is alive and well!
The morning went quite quickly. There were a series of forms to sign, tests, pictures and more paperwork.
There were a series of seminars with the nurses that will be taking care of me, rehab therapists, nutritionists and finally my surgeon.
I was glad I took my medications and vitamins with me as well as a list of last minute questions

9 days and counting....

by ANEWME on 11-04-2012 at 05:11 PM
Can't believe my pre-op is this week and surgery is around the corner. I am feeling a bit apprehensive, but I guess that's normal.
I have been on the liquid diet and it's been difficult but doable. There have been a few moments of weakness and I have had a small piece of cake or a few plantain chips.
The weight is coming down and I have lost about 12 pounds so far.

I am hopeful that the New Me will be healthier for years to come! Please keep me in your prayers.
