Sorry it took me so long to respond, had password issues! thanks for compliment. prior to the surgery I was already a big fitbit stepper and would get in 15000 steps per day thats a norm for me. after I healed from the surgery about 2weeks I picked back up my 15000 steps a day and then once I lost even more weight I began to run, bike, and swim. I then participated in Aug in my first triathalon sprint and the training that lead up to that was my routine. Since then I've done 3 other triathalons and later this year in december I hope to participate in my first half marathon in dec. No i did not take any skin sagging supplements which is funny you ask cause If i had known such a thing was available I might have tried it, but honestly Im only saggy around inner thighs and neck, so it bothers me but not that much. hope that helps you, just ask away if you have any more questions! have a great day!

Hi!! I am doing ok. I am in the puree phase now, so, life tastes a little better
I think I may be getting over a 2 week 'stall'. One thing I learned, just stay on track and it will pass. Although the scale didn't move, inches still came off. That would have been the point in all my previous diets that I quit, then regained, ya know. So, this is still a good thing. I am feeling more energy than I was 2 weeks ago. I have learned the beauty of hummus!!!
My husband notices my weight loss, and LIKES it
If you're still going back and forth, think of your life after and what an opportunity this can be for you to make the most out of a beautiful healthy life. I'm still very new, just starting out, but it feels soooo good to not be my own worst enemy in this weight loss/obesity battle so much anymore.
    How are you??

My surgery went well, I highly recommend Dr. Umbach. I had a little discomfort when I first came out of surgery but, after that none at all. His staff was also great and the nutritionist Michelle Phelan approved my protein Trutein. I had two a day one for breakfast and one for lunch during the pre-op phase and then for dinner I had a lean meat and a vegetable. I am currently using Trutein and other brands of protein including Isopure protein, Pure Protein, and a flavorless protein: Musclegen Research - GenePro Molecular Tri-Protein Peptide. As of today I've lost 30 pounds and I feel really good and I've been given permission to go to the gym. I'm sure your experience with Dr. Umbach will be a good one, he did a great job with the surgery and I'm pleased I went to him. I hope you will let me know how you're doing and if you want to here more about my experience as I go forward. (forgive me if you see this multiple time and I am not sure how this site works!)

We flew home in same time frame too, went just fine (I did however fly home without a bra, it was so much more comfortable!!! With incisions and all that. This is the one time u can get away with that so live it up!)

Could you try an egg based protein shake or something like that? Search online? (I think as long as your getting good protein without tons of sugar, it's good ya know)
The gas was from blowing up our stomach sleeve right after the procedure to test for leaks and also the gas they put in the belly to access the stomach easier. Walking around, even when you don't want to, just little bits, help. I wasn't nauseous, sipping slowly helps I think. My sister was, but she said she thought it was from too big of sips. For some reason, water was harder on my stomach, made it kind of twist each time. The shakes were better. They have you walking right after you come out of the anesthesia. I was so nervous thinking about it all too and everything that was going to happen, but it really did go well and I just went right back to the hotel after. Tired and sluggish, but ok, ya know. Try not to let yourself worry too much. It's a very calm, casual environment there at the clinic. That helps.

Hi, it's called nectar. I like the chocolate truffle flavor the best. It's weird, by the others are too sweet I think.
I'm doing good. Good days. Harder days. Every day is different. I have been struggling with feeling weak and tired, kinda low blood sugar. But, I have found that sipping on a little oj throughout especially the morning helps so much. Also, I've been switching the yogurts up to keep from getting bored during the day because that's pretty much all I'm having besides the protein shakes. I sipped on the yogurt drink Kefir today and it was good. Seemed to keep my energy up too, so, win win
You're gonna do great!!! (on a side note, I did just get a yeast infection I've just heard this can be normal after surgery and some people ask their Dr for a preventive prescription? Just a thought
  10. Cash? Ok. Glad you are doing well. Is the gas from the surgical procedure? I sent an email to their office bcuz I am allergic to wheat, coconut and almonds and that is in all of the protein shakes they recommend l. A little nervous about that. I will have surgery on Dec 1st or 2nd I think. I will b flying home on the 5th. We're you able to move around ok that soon after surgery? What about nausea?

Hi, I did have surgery on Friday the 2nd. So far, so good. Down 10 lbs since surgery. The recovery phase is a little crazy. Lots of gas. I'm still hungry, but stick to the plan and it will be ok. The clinic is good. Fast, but efficient. You should try the chocolate nectar protein powder you can buy in the office. The Dr knows what he's doing. Glad I went there. Wish I was months out post op instead of a week, but time does seem to go fast. Good luck. Ask me anything else, I'm happy to help (also, take cash to pay for surgery)
