I am doing very well. Gas pains are gone, just some minor pains with the incisions. I am able to move around pretty well, I just get tired easy. I have been out shopping and visiting family already. Just waiting for the next stage, pureed foods. I am so bored of water and protein shake. lol. Mostly head hunger, I think.

I am so sorry for your loss, that had to be very hard to deal with and then your suregry coming so soon after. I am here if you need an ear, ok. Take care.

Hi Renay. How are you doing? Is the gas getting better? Is that what is causing your pain? Did you have the nose tube during your surgery? My doctor uses it, sounds gross but it's supposed to really help? Please send me an update before Tuesday. Having surgery Tuesday, July 3.

Made it through my Mother's funeral on Friday. So I'm ready for another difficult journey. Hopefully, this one will be a successful adventure. I will tell you that without God I would have never made it through last week. I have been so blessed. I continue to pray for you.

It is getting easier each day. I am able to drink my protein shake and 4 bottles of water as of yesterday. Gas pains seem to be gone now. Will be happy when I can move on to the next stage.

I'm so glad to hear you are home and doing better. Good for you! continue the sips and don't push yourself too hard at the beginning. Just stay hydrated and you will heal...

Well I'm finally home. Had my surgery on 6/19. Everything went well, but I developed a small leak. Nothing serious but they had me stay an additional day(3 days total) to make sure it cleared up. I was also having a hard time drinking water due to all the gas trapped under my ribs. Made it hard to take deep breaths. Doing much better now that I'm home.
Took some gasx and some pain meds, feeling ok. Still hard to drink the water, but I'm just sip, sip, sipping! LOL.

Hi Ranay. Hope this message finds you doing well. If you recall, I had told you that my surgery would be one day after yours; well, unfortunately I changed doctors and now I'm scheduled for July 3. Guess my fireworks won't be going off! LOL. Ranay, you look like such a sweet, beautiful girl. I know you are going to be georgious and skinny! Please let us hear from you when you feel up to it. In the meantime I will be praying for you.

Well just 2 days to go. Liquid diet tomorrow and Tuesday is the big day. I am getting a little nervous but I am sure this is the right decision for me. Thank you for the kind words T-Bird, and Texas Lady it will be nice to have a buddy. lol.

Countdown....!!!! How are you doing? Its ok to be a little scared. You won't be scared for long. You will be so excited and happy to watch the scale drop and drop! Wishing you nothing but happiness!

Well, I finally got my surgery date! June 19. I am feeling a little scared now, not sure why.

Good luck. My surgeon was Dr Alvarez, too. Kaiser, right? I had surgery on Jan 9, 2012 and couldn't be happier with it.
