How are you doing, girl? Is it easier to eat/drink? I've been sleeved 2 weeks and have seen it get better each day but everyone (and their doctor) is different!

Hi, Chicken, Thanks for asking. I am doing better today than yersterday, when I basically stayed in bed and slept. I even went into work for 3 hours today and managed quite well. I just can't seem to be able to move beyond clear fluids without immediately getting diarrhea. I know TMI. But I'm worried about going back to work fulltime next week. Other than that, I'm still losing about a pound a day, which is A-MA-ZING! And how are you?

How sweet! Thank you. I'm nervous and excited. The diet was a little easier today. I made yummy chicken broth mast night and had some at lunchtime, allowing myself a little chicken, celery, and onion. It was heaven. I'm craving cake, cookies and chocolate big time, but resisting the urge, even though it is in the house. The true test will be at work tomorrow. The job is stressful and I reach for food when I'm stressed. And people always bring unhealthy treats. I will be strong. Thank you for Mississippi hugs, so kind. I am kn the home stretch and it hardly seems real!

Hello! How is it going? I only get on here a couple times a week, but I havent seen anything from you and just would like to know how you are. I personally, am loving that I had the surgery, but frustrated my back and hip hurting. My back and hip always did, but it's worse now. I need to fix up my bicycle so I can ride that for exercise instead of walking.

I can't wait to ride again. My horses think theyve been retired! Yes, Colin is a greyhound but not the race type. There are 2 types that used to be interbred but not anymore. Colin is a show type and is much bigger than a racer. Same wonderful temperment though. Thanks

Near my 6 months

by BigChicken on 07-04-2012 at 03:46 PM
I am nearing my 6 months post sleeve and I can not love life anymore than I do today. I am 78 pounds lost but I weighted 295 just a few months before my surgery and to me my official weight before is 295 because I started getting ready for my surgery months before my operation. So, to me I am down 98 pounds. I have changed my whole life, to they way I eat to the way I exercise. I love working out, who would have thought EVER that Me Cecilia would say I love exercising. I love it, I love my

Hello my sleeve family. Today, I went to the Doctors for the last time before my sleeve on Tuesday, January 10. I am pre admitted and all I have to do is show up on Tuesday. I meet some really nice girls today!!!! I told them all about this website and how much I love it here. I was telling them all about how much we support each other.
I weight 5lbs less and that was exciting. I had my picture taken and I did not break the camera. lol

What kind of shoes!!!

by BigChicken on 10-09-2011 at 01:27 PM
OK everyone who has had to start walking. I am not a tennis shoe person. I usually where in the summer, sandals, crocs, Birkenstock. It hurts my feet so bad to put on tennis(walking shoes). I look really silly walking in my sandals. I want to know if any of my sleevers family had this problem and how can I get a pair of shoe, I will love to walk in.

No Insurance. Who else is having the Gastric sleeve and paying for it.

by BigChicken on 09-26-2011 at 06:04 PM
I don't have Insurance and going to have to finance my surgery. I am wondering if I am the only one. I also want to know is having the surgery much cheaper in Mexico. I am going to Dr Pinson in Tupelo, Mississippi.
