I was sleeved on 2/20, you have to have the stitches removed after you get home...

Hi Misty, Dr Almanza closes outs of incision with sutures that need to be removed in 10-14 days. I went to my PCP and had them removed. I had them do it so I didn't have to buy steri strips for larger wound if needed and it did. Plus my insurance would pay for sutures to be removed. Dr Almanza did a great job with my surgery and the entire medical team was great also. Wouldn't go anywhere else. I also got pampered by the hotel staff/drivers too. You will be in good hands. Good Luck to you

Removed my own, unfortunately they were a bit too tight and began to pucker and grow over the sutures. So it was difficult. I would DEFINITELY remove them at 10 days, unless they don't seem 'ready' to you in which case see a doctor to have them taken out.
