Fat people who want to be healthy- not skinny !
Not sure about any of ya all.. but i am tired of the docs and nurses telling me what my ideal weight should be . I was a 434 lb woman .. down to 291 now, they want me at 143 lbs .. totally unreasonable. I was never aiming to be skinny .. just healthy and fit . !!! I am aiming for 200-250 personally .. anyone thought I would start a group for any and all that want to rave about this !

African-American Sleevers
There is some evidence that African Americans don't respond as well as Caucasians, and men don't respond as well as women. I just wanted to see how African American's are responding to this type of surgery. No disrespect to non-African Americans, I love everyone the same. I just needed a cultural perspective.

DO'S AND DON'T BEFORE AND AFTER SURGERY !!
I am an RN have worked as Pre- Op Bariatric Nurse, Bariatric Surgery Nurse, Post-Op Bariatric Nurse, Bariatric Floor, ICU, and E.R. Nurse. I am also a post Lap Band Bariatric patient. I will also be a Sleeve and Gallbladder patient on April 5th. I get many questions every day from all the people new to this forum and many don't even have instruction sheets from their surgeons, dietitians, etc...so from now on when I answer, I plan to do it here so people can get the answers they desperately are looking for.
