My sugar levels are dropping while I am on the liquid diet!! I am no longer waking up with my levels in 200's!! Something to smile about!!

I am 15 days out and I'm more or less off of insulin. It's very exciting

Sigh - I am the exception. I have NEVER been on the insulin shots - but now have to take them at least once a day and more if my sugar is elevated. It stays in the 130-200 range. I don't know what happened. One reason that I made the decision to have the sleeve is because I was afraid I would be on insulin (family trait). Everyone else I have talked to had their insulin go down - I sadly missed this boat and have no idea where my diabetes is going from here.
I do wish you both continued success with your sugar.

I too went off insulin right after the surgery. I still take metformin twice a day as I average 148 but it is way better than the usual 280-330. This surgery was worth every penny.
