So I fly out in 2 days to san Diego from Texas and I'm worried about the flight fitting in the seats and seat belts etc. I'm 5'6 286 today anyone have any experience with American Airlines and flying plus size?

Jennifer when you check in just ask them to have an extender at your seat. They will do their best to help you out. Hang in their kiddo soon these types of worries will be a thing of your past.

I just flew, I was same size (bigger actually) & I fit fine. I did ask for a seat belt extender on the plane.

I flew American also. I weighed 321lbs. it was a snug fit, but not that bad. I worried about not fitting also

I was 276 when I flew and was Fine... I am 5 7

You will fit fine just ask for an extension for your belt. I know it's embarrassing but just think this will be the last time .
